News - Yemen: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yemen reiterated the country’s right to respond and defend itself against Israeli crimes in accordance with international norms, conventions, and laws.

In a message sent to the UN Security Council and the UN, the ministry called on the international community to recognize the threat posed by the Israeli enemy—not only to the region but to global stability.

The ministry highlighted that Israel’s latest aggression on Sana'a and Al-Jawf targeted a media organization in a residential area, a fuel and medical station, and a government complex. The assaults reportedly killed 46 civilians and injured 165 others, including journalists, women, children, while also damaging homes and the National Museum in Sana'a. Yemen described these actions as blatant violations of the UN Charter, the country’s sovereignty, international law, and humanitarian law.

The ministry noted that these attacks came just two weeks after Israel’s strike against the Yemeni Prime Minister and several government officials, a move Yemen considers a dangerous precedent in international relations.

Furthermore, the ministry accused the US of complicity in Israel’s crimes in Yemen through ongoing support, reaffirming Yemen’s ethical, religious, and humanitarian commitment to support the Palestinian people and their resistance until the end of the aggression and the blockade imposed on Gaza for over 700 days.

Yemen has long condemned the Israeli enemy's actions against Palestinians and has expressed solidarity with Gaza amid ongoing hostilities. Recent escalations, including direct strikes on Yemeni infrastructure and leadership, have intensified calls for international intervention and highlighted the broader regional implications of Israeli military operations. Yemen frames its actions as a lawful right of self-defense while emphasizing the humanitarian impact on civilians and the need for global accountability.
