Sheikh Naim Qassem made the remarks in a statement on Wednesday on the first anniversary of Israel’s deadly pager and walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon.
He hailed the victims of the explosions and their resilience to overcome the debilitating wounds they suffered.
“The Israeli enemy wanted to neutralize your power and wanted to remove you from the battle, (but) you re-entered it with greater strength and greater energy.”
The Hezbollah leader said that the resistance fighters would be the victors.
“Know that Israel will fall given its nature of occupation, oppression, criminality, and aggression, and the fact that the resistance fighters are confronting it until liberation.”
At least 39 people, including two children, were killed, and more than 3,400 others suffered mostly debilitating injuries throughout the pager attacks on September 18 and 19, 2024. The casualties included many members of Hezbollah.
The blasts maimed a considerable number of the victims, largely with eye and limb injuries.
The atrocity came as part of the regime’s deadly aggression against Lebanon, which killed at least 3,130 Lebanese people before it ended in November 2024 after a ceasefire was reached.
