News - Yemen: Brigadier General Ali Abu Rad, a strategic and military affairs expert, hailed Yemen’s military accomplishments since the start of the Saudi-US-led aggression, describing them as a “miracle” that stunned the enemies despite Yemen’s outdated arsenal before the September 21 Revolution.

Speaking on Al-Masirah TV, Abu Rad said Yemen initially faced war with a force of over 28 countries using decades-old equipment, yet the country preserved its remaining weapons “as carefully as one would their eyelids.”

He added that Yemen not only withstood the campaign but also shifted the balance of power by dramatically enhancing its military capabilities.

Abu Rad highlighted the transformation of old Soviet-era Scud missiles into modern ballistic missiles, extending their range from tens of kilometers to over 1,000 kilometers — an achievement he described as “ingenious” and locally developed.

He also noted advances in aerial capabilities, particularly in unmanned drones. Yemeni Forces have produced sophisticated drones capable of striking targets accurately, even evading advanced detection systems operated by major powers such as the United States, Britain, and the Zionist entity.

“Some of these drones cannot even be detected, let alone intercepted, by Western surveillance systems,” Abu Rad said. He also mentioned the development of “fission-capable missile systems,” calling it a “military miracle.”

Concluding his remarks, Abu Rad stressed that Yemen possesses hidden military capabilities that could surprise enemies in the coming days. He emphasized that the Yemeni leadership is fully aware of its strategic assets and ready to use them against any adversary.

Before the September 21 Revolution, Yemen’s military was largely outdated, relying on equipment decades old and poorly maintained.US-Saudi aggression joined by over 28 countries, aimed to reinstate a US-backed regime and weaken Yemen’s sovereignty.

Over the past decade, Yemen has leveraged domestic ingenuity to convert old systems into advanced weaponry, including ballistic missiles and drones capable of striking deep into the territories of the Zionist entity and other adversaries.
