In a speech on Thursday, the leader stated that the "million-man march" would affirm Yemen's steadfast support for the Palestinian resistance and demonstrate the popular awareness of the need for practical solidarity. He emphasized that Yemen's position is one of "the highest degree of responsibility, wisdom, and is guided by faith, moral, human, and religious standards."
On the military front, Sayyed Abdulmalik announced that his forces had carried out 21 operations this week using missiles and drones. He highlighted a recent operation targeting Eilat (which he referred to by its Arabic name, Umm al-Rashrash), claiming it achieved a significant "breach of the Israeli enemy's defense system" that continues to be effective. He asserted a consistent Israeli failure to intercept the drones and missiles.
The leader reaffirmed the continuation of a maritime ban on Israeli shipping across a vast operational theater stretching from the Red Sea through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Gulf of Aden to the Arabian Sea. He revealed that a vessel violating the ban had been targeted this week.
He acknowledged that the Yemeni stance has not completely stopped the aggression against Palestine but argued this does not diminish its importance. He stated that the impact of the naval ban is "clear, proven, and evident in reality," having inflicted losses on Israel and carried strategic significance, "as recognized by everyone in the world except for the cheap, vile Zionist trumpets."
He positioned Yemen's defiance as a stance of "freedom, honor, and dignity," contrasting it with what he described as the "shameful equations" of surrender and submission to American orders and Israeli dictates accepted by others in the region.
Sayyed Abdulamlik also reported ongoing popular activities in Yemeni universities and detailed military mobilization efforts, including military displays, marches, and the graduation of additional trained batches. He stated that last week's mobilizations amounted to 1,413 demonstrations and marches across the country.
He concluded by calling for widespread support for the Al-Qassam Brigades and other Palestinian militants, urging continued prayers for them.
Yemen has been an active participant in the regional conflict sparked by the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza, conducting numerous missile and drone attacks against Israeli-linked shipping in the Red Sea and beyond. The Yemeni Armed Forces framed their actions as a blockade in solidarity with Palestinians, affirming that will continue their operations until Gaza aggression is stopped and siege is lifted.
