Yemeni Official: National Stance Reflects Integrated Front Against 'Zionist Aggression'

News - Yemen Sufian Al-Amari, Assistant Secretary-General of the People's Congress Party, stated that the current scene in Yemen embodies an integrated stance on the popular, political, and military levels in confronting the escalating "Zionist aggression" against both Palestine and Yemen.

In an interview with Almasirah TV on Friday, Al-Amari explained that the massive public participation in rallies is a natural response to the direct targeting of the capital, Sanaa, and to the attacks through which the "occupation" seeks to break the will of the Yemeni people.

He affirmed that Yemen is in a state of continuous engagement with the "Zionist enemy," not merely transient confrontations, noting that the nature of the current escalation reveals the magnitude of the challenge facing the region. He pointed out that the popular crowds filling the squares often accompany military escalations, reflecting the public's awareness of its collective responsibility to support the armed forces and political leadership.

Al-Amari indicated that "provocative Zionist statements," such as talks about raising the Israeli flag in Sanaa, have sparked a widespread wave of popular anger. He emphasized that these statements are completely rejected by the Yemeni citizen, who does not even accept them being hinted at. He stated that the current popular momentum is a spontaneous and natural reaction to these provocations and an embodiment of the popular defiance in the face of the enemy.

Regarding the statements by the American envoy, who suggested the core of the conflict is about hegemony, Al-Amari clarified that this proves what is happening is not a dispute over borders but an "existential conflict" aimed at imposing American-Zionist hegemony over the entire region. He added, "If there were no real resistance, the result would be the complete erasure of some Arab states and the loss of their independence."

He also referred to the recent speech by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, which emphasized the rejection of trading the resistance's weapons for formal or symbolic recognition. Al-Amari explained that such recognitions remain ink on paper unless translated into practical steps that stop the aggression and genocide against the Palestinian people.

The Assistant Secretary-General noted that the Yemeni stance, across its three levels (popular, political, military), presents a picture of internal front unity and the integration between popular, political, and military resistance. It also sends a clear message that Yemen views the current conflict as an existential struggle that cannot be taken lightly, and that any attempts to strip the resistance of its legitimacy will be met with decisive rejection by the people and their leadership.

Amid ongoing regional tensions, senior officials from Yemen's political factions continue to articulate a unified stance against the Israeli enemy and the United States.

Since October 2023, the Zionist entity has waged a sustained military campaign against the Gaza Strip, targeting civilian sites. This escalation has resulted in tens of thousands of casualties and widespread destruction of infrastructure, including homes, hospitals, and schools.

Medical facilities in Gaza face severe shortages of fuel, electricity, water, and essential medicines, with many hospitals operating at the brink of collapse. The blockade has intensified humanitarian suffering, forcing displaced families into makeshift shelters under constant bombardment.

In recent months, Yemen has escalated its operations by extending missile and drone strikes deep into occupied Palestine, including Tel Aviv and Eilat, challenging the joint US–Zionist air defense systems. Analysts view these developments as a significant shift in the regional balance, transforming Yemen from a local actor into a direct player in the wider confrontation.
