Leader: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah Remains a Nightmare for the Zionist Entity for Over Four Decades

News - Yemen: Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi hailed the late Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as a historic leader whose resistance legacy continues to inspire the Muslim nation and haunt the Zionist entity. His remarks came on Saturday in a speech marking the first anniversary of Sayyed Nasrallah’s martyrdom, alongside his companion Sayyed Hashem Safieddine and other Hezbollah fighters.

Sayyed Nasrallah as a Rare Historic Leader

Sayyed Abdulmalik described Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as “a rare historic leader whom Allah endowed with qualities that enabled him to play a great role in confronting the Zionist enemy.” He said the Hezbollah leader stood as a “towering mountain” against the so-called “New Middle East” project announced by Washington at the time.

According to the leader, the victory of 2006 against the Zionist entity toppled that project under the feet of Lebanese resistance fighters. He added that if Arab regimes had embraced and supported that victory instead of conspiring against it, the outcome could have changed the entire balance of power in the region.

Legacy of Resistance and Consciousness

The leader stressed that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is present “in the conscience of the free people worldwide,” through his firm principles, his just cause, and the great fruits of his efforts. He said Sayyed Nasrallah’s legacy built a generation of resistance fighters and expanded awareness across the Islamic nation and beyond.

He underlined that Sayyed Nasrallah was “a true nightmare for the Zionists for more than four decades,” embedding in their collective consciousness the concept of defeat after years of easy victories over Arab regimes. His famous statement that “Israel is weaker than a spider’s web,” Sayyed Abdulmalik said, remains etched in the Zionist psyche as a haunting security concern.

Response to the Latest Zionist Aggression on Yemen

Turning to the recent aggression, the leader condemned the Zionist entity’s strike last Thursday on Sana'a, which hit a facility belonging to the security and intelligence services. He called it a “failed and criminal step” that would not deter Yemen from its principled stance.

He noted that millions of Yemenis took to the streets on Friday, reaffirming their commitment to resistance and solidarity with Palestine. “This massive presence reflects the wide popular embrace of the path of jihad and steadfastness,” he said.

On Arms and Deterrence

The leader rejected calls by the US and the Zionist entity for disarming resistance movements, especially Hezbollah. He stressed that the real problem is not possessing weapons but being deprived of the arms necessary to deter aggression.

He pointed out that Hezbollah’s weapons have prevented the Zionist entity from occupying Lebanon, just as the weapons of Palestinian fighters in Gaza have blocked Israeli schemes there. He criticized Arab regimes that adopt American and Zionist dictates while the world powers increase their military spending and armament.

Hezbollah as Part of a Wider Resistance Axis

In his address, the leader underlined that Hezbollah is not isolated but is part of a broader resistance axis and an ummah that will not abandon it. He highlighted Hezbollah’s landmark achievements, from the liberation of southern Lebanon in 2000 to the steadfastness in 2006, both of which he described as historic victories with far-reaching regional and global consequences.

“The path of jihad and resistance is inevitable and wise,” he said, emphasizing that the choice before the Ummah is either resistance or surrender. He warned that even those who sought normalization with the Zionist entity would not be spared from its aggression.

Call for Unity and Preparedness

Concluding his speech, the leader called for unity across the Islamic world and with free peoples globally to confront Zionist tyranny. He urged that the option of jihad should serve as a motivation for building strength, correcting internal conditions, and addressing weaknesses the enemy exploits.

“We must realize that we need every element of strength to deter the threat that endangers us all,” he affirmed, framing the struggle against the Zionist entity as not only a regional duty but also a universal human responsibility.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated on September 27, 2024, in an Israeli bombardment targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut. Israeli enemy's warplanes dropped an estimated 85 tons of explosives, flattening six residential buildings in Dahiyeh during a week-long campaign that extended from southern Lebanon to the capital. Among those martyred in the strikes was senior Hezbollah commander Ali Nilforoushan.

Just days later, on October 3, 2024, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine — Sayyed Nasrallah’s long-time deputy and companion — was martyred in a separate Israeli aggression.

Due to fears of further Israeli strikes, Hezbollah postponed funeral ceremonies for both leaders. Their final burial took place months later, on February 23, 2025, in Beirut, amid massive popular mourning and heightened security.
