Speaking at a commemorative event in Sana’a, Muftah stressed that Sayyed Nasrallah holds the unique distinction of being “the most costly leader in history to be targeted for assassination,” with nearly ten trillion dollars funneled by certain Gulf regimes to serve the joint American-Zionist project of eliminating the resistance in Lebanon.
Muftah recalled that the life of Sayyed Nasrallah was inseparable from the struggle of Hezbollah, founded in 1982 after the Zionist entity’s invasion of Lebanon and Beirut. He highlighted the massacres perpetrated by the Israeli enemy, including Sabra and Shatila, which galvanized Lebanese resistance.
He further noted that through wisdom and steadfastness, Sayyed Nasrallah also compelled US forces to withdraw from Lebanon in 2000, after years of occupation, marking a second major defeat for Washington and the entity.
According to Muftah, the “Zionist-American axis” has spent four decades seeking to control global decision-making centers to take revenge against the Lebanese resistance, which dealt repeated defeats to the Israeli enemy in 1992, 2000, and again in 2006.
He emphasized that Hezbollah left humanity with an enduring legacy of loyalty to principles, martyrdom, and the struggle against oppression, while Sayyed Nasrallah embodied heroic sacrifice in the face of the Zionist entity, its American partner, and their regional collaborators.
Muftah underscored that Yemen’s struggle today against the Israeli enemy, in support of Gaza and the Palestinian cause, is part of this same battle of truth versus falsehood. He condemned the Zionist massacres in civilian neighborhoods of Sana’a and affirmed that its reliance on local agents and mercenaries has failed in the face of the resilience and faith of the Yemeni people.
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, was martyred in September 2024 alongside senior commander Sayyed Hashem Safieddine. His assassination marked a turning point in the region, with the resistance axis in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Iraq, and beyond vowing to continue his path.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern Middle Eastern history, Nasrallah is remembered for leading Hezbollah through decisive confrontations with the Zionist entity, reshaping the balance of power in the region.
