News - Yemen: The leader of Yemen's revolution accused major international humanitarian organizations, affirming they have been infiltrated by spy cells working for "Israel" and the United States, and directly implicated them in a deadly attack on the Yemeni government.

Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi affirmed that Yemen has obtained conclusive information about the "aggressive, criminal espionage role" of cells that were arrested from among those affiliated with humanitarian organizations.

In his speech on Thursday, he explained that one of the prominent crimes of the espionage cells from organization affiliates was their "fundamental role in the Israeli targeting of the government meeting." 

He stated there was a "primary role in the crime of targeting the government through monitoring the meeting, reporting to the Israeli enemy, and facilitating the crime." He indicated that in the crime of targeting the government, there was a role for a cell affiliated with the World Food Programme (WFP), headed by the "Security and Safety Officer for the program's branch in Yemen."

He added, "We are completely certain of the facts related to the cells affiliated with the organizations, and we possess all the evidence against them." He emphasized his keenness to clarify the issue of the organization cells because "some are unaware of these facts and are influenced by the media uproar, imagining that there is unjustified targeting of those cells and a lack of appreciation for their humanitarian role."

Sayyed Abdulmalik continued, stating they are "very keen on what is good for our people and serving them," but the matter "does not differ at all from the death traps the Americans played with in the Gaza Strip, except in form." He noted that the Americans and Israelis saw in humanitarian organizations an "important cover that protects those cells from arrest and facilitates their movement with the capabilities and means supplied to them."

The leader pointed out that the organization cells were supplied with devices and means for monitoring and targeting, and technical devices for breaching communications. The cells were also provided with espionage devices typically used by global intelligence agencies, and "we have evidence for all of that." 

He blamed the United Nations and those organizations that "direct blame towards the security apparatuses and the government in Sana'a."

Sayyed Abdulmalik considered the security domain one of the paths of utmost importance in the confrontation with the enemies, "because they focus on it, and it is the twin of the military domain." He affirmed that the enemies tried to activate many espionage cells working for them to provide information, coordinates, and carry out criminal operations.

The leader indicated that the espionage cells seek to incite chaos internally for the benefit of the Americans and Israelis, clarifying that all the sabotage paths targeting the security of the people have "failed greatly compared to what the enemies offered in this aspect of immense and tempting capabilities."

He noted that among the most dangerous espionage cells that were active were those affiliated with organizations working in the humanitarian field, most notably the WFP and UNICEF. He clarified that there were espionage cells taking cover by affiliating with humanitarian organizations, making that a cover for their dangerous aggressive activity.

On August 28, 2025, the Israeli enemy launched aggressive airstrikes killing Yemen’s prime minister and senior ministers, with Sana’a pledging to continue military pressure on the Zionist entity in coordination with Palestinian resistance efforts.

Since the Zionist entity launched its aggression against Gaza in October 2023, Yemen has carried out drone and missile strikes against Zionist ports, airports, military bases, and shipping lanes, while enforcing a naval blockade.
