Yemeni Foreign Ministry diplomat Abdullah Sabri told Al-Masirah that al-Ghamari’s martyrdom will not halt the Qur’anic path, but rather strengthen Yemen’s resolve to continue confronting tyranny and defending the oppressed Palestinian people until full victory is achieved.
He described the chief of staff as a “symbol of sacrifice and faith,” highlighting Yemen’s enhanced military and sovereign presence in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, as well as significant advancements in offensive and defensive capabilities.
Sabri emphasized that Yemen’s ongoing military operations against the Israeli enemy reflect institutional resilience and deep faith, with the blood of martyrs strengthening Yemen’s commitment to support Gaza and confront the forces of global arrogance, including the Zionist entity, the United States, and Britain.
He noted that al-Ghamari, operational commander of the support campaign, fully understood that the path of jihad entails sacrifices, and that his martyrdom exemplifies the courage and steadfastness of Yemen’s leadership and Armed Forces.
Mohammad Taher An‘am, advisor to the Supreme Political Council, said Yemen’s engagement in the Palestinian support campaign stems from religious and ethical duties. He stressed that Yemen’s stance is grounded in deep religious and humanitarian principles, especially in response to crimes committed against Palestinians, which no Muslim or free person can tolerate.
He added that the failure of some Arab and Islamic states to act increased Yemen’s sense of responsibility and commitment to this “necessary battle.”
An‘am further explained that jihadist battles inherently involve sacrifices, including pain, hunger, and loss of lives and resources, and that martyrs are considered alive as Allah said. He reaffirmed that such sacrifices are a divine test for individuals, groups, and nations, urging Yemenis to remain committed to their religious and national values.
Maj. Gen. al-Ghamari was a senior military leader and operational commander in Yemen’s campaign supporting Palestinian resistance. Ansarullah and Yemeni officials have repeatedly highlighted his role in strengthening Yemen’s military capabilities, including missile and drone operations capable of targeting the Zionist entity. His martyrdom is seen as reinforcing Yemen’s steadfast position in solidarity with Gaza and its broader anti-Zionist stance.
