Yemeni Leaders Mourn Martyrdom of Chief of Staff Al-Ghamari, Vow to Continue Path of Resistance

Yemeni Leaders Mourn Martyrdom of Chief of Staff Al-Ghamari, Vow to Continue Path of Resistance

News - Yemen: Top Yemeni military and religious leaders have extended their condolences over the martyrdom of Major General Mohammed Abdul Karim al-Ghamari, Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces, who was martyred during operations linked to the Promised Liberation and Sacred Jihad campaign in support of Gaza.

They affirmed that his blood will only strengthen Yemen’s resolve in confronting the enemies of the nation and supporting the oppressed across the region.

Maj. Gen. al-Madani: Martyrdom Strengthens Yemen’s Resolve

Newly appointed Chief of Staff, Major General Yusuf al-Madani, expressed heartfelt condolences to the Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, President Mahdi al-Mashat, and the Yemeni people over the martyrdom of his predecessor, describing al-Ghamari as “one of Yemen’s greatest men, who devoted his life to defending the nation, the faith, and the oppressed.”

Al-Madani stressed that the Armed Forces will remain steadfast on the path drawn by the martyr and vowed to uphold his legacy in continuing the sacred struggle against the Zionist enemy. He affirmed that the blood of al-Ghamari and his fellow martyrs will only make Yemen’s military stronger and more determined in its faith-driven struggle to support Gaza and the Palestinian cause until victory is achieved, by God’s will.

Intelligence Chief al-Khiwani: Yemen’s Commitment to Gaza Unshaken

The head of Yemen’s Security and Intelligence Service, Major General Abdul Hakim al-Khiwani, also offered condolences to the national leadership, the Armed Forces, and the Yemeni people, praising the martyr’s long record of jihad and dedication.

Al-Khiwani reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast position in supporting Gaza and the Palestinian people, stating that “defending the causes of the Ummah demands great sacrifices.”

He described al-Ghamari as a symbol of faith, Arab identity, and Islamic belonging, who stood firm against aggression and tyranny while embodying the values of resistance and sacrifice.

He also expressed confidence in the new Chief of Staff, Major General al-Madani, to continue the mission under the current challenging circumstances facing the nation and the entire region.

Scholar al-Razzami: Al-Ghamari Fell in the Holiest Battle for the Ummah

Prominent scholar Sheikh Abdullah Ayedh al-Razzami emphasized that al-Ghamari’s martyrdom in the Battle of the Promised Conquest and the Holy Jihad will only strengthen Yemen’s determination to continue along the path of resistance and faith.

In a condolence message to Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi and President al-Mashat, al-Razzami said that “the blood of Yemen’s martyrs, shed in defense of Gaza and the oppressed, is a badge of honor for the entire Ummah.”

He praised the martyr as a commander who “rode the steed of struggle and fell with honor, leaving behind an immortal legacy of courage and sacrifice in confronting the forces of global tyranny.”

Al-Razzami added that al-Ghamari’s example will continue to inspire future generations of Yemeni fighters to carry the banner of dignity and resistance.

Major General Mohammed Abdul Karim al-Ghamari, one of Yemen’s most prominent military figures, was martyred alongside his son and several companions in Uٍ-Israeli airstrikes targeting Yemen during the two-year-long Al-Aqsa Flood campaign. The Yemeni Armed Forces confirmed his martyrdom in a statement Thursday, announcing that the strikes also claimed the lives of numerous senior officials, ministers, and personnel from Yemen’s naval, missile, and air defense forces.

The Israeli enemy had made multiple assassination attempts against al-Ghamari before ultimately succeeding in the recent US-Israeli attack that claimed his life. These repeated attempts underscored the significance of al-Ghamari’s role in directing Yemen’s military operations and his central position in shaping the regional resistance front.

Al-Ghamari was widely regarded as the strategic architect behind many of Yemen’s long-range missile and drone campaigns that reshaped deterrence dynamics across the region. His martyrdom, observers say, further cements Yemen’s alignment with the regional Axis of Resistance and highlights the shared military and ideological coordination between Yemen, Iran, and Palestine.
