Military Expert: Yemen's Two-Year Campaign Delivered 'Major Shock' to Israeli Enemy

News - Yemen: A military expert has assessed that the country's sustained military operations during the two-year "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle demonstrated unexpected strategic capabilities and created significant pressure on Israeli and Western forces, despite resource limitations.

Brigadier General Omar Marabouni, a military and strategic expert, stated that Yemeni military operations over the past two years constituted a "major shock" to the Zionist enemy and its Western supporters. He emphasized that Yemen proved its ability to achieve military deterrence despite limited capabilities compared to the American and Western military buildup in the region.

In an interview with Almasirah channel on Friday, Marabouni revealed that Yemeni operations included "750 missile and drone attacks utilizing multiple types of missiles," indicating what he described as "advanced levels of military planning and precise execution."

The expert framed these operations as part of a "long-term confrontation extending over a hundred years," during which Yemenis successfully sent strong messages to the enemy about their capacity for self-defense and effective support for the Palestinian cause.

Marabouni noted that the martyrdom of commanders like Major General Al-Ghumari did not deter Yemeni forces but rather "provided motivation to enhance efforts and continue operations." He highlighted morale and military discipline as key factors enabling Yemen to remain a "principal party alongside the Palestinian people until the recent announcement of aggression cessation."

The expert disclosed "unannounced communication channels between Yemeni Armed Forces leadership and Al-Qassam Brigades" that he said contributed to "high levels of military and technical coordination." This coordination allegedly helped Palestinians in Gaza withstand prolonged periods of conflict while keeping Yemen's capabilities as leverage in political negotiations.

Marabouni raised significant concerns about Israeli exploitation of humanitarian organizations, stating the "Zionist entity exploits humanitarian associations and international organizations to recruit employees and spies," leveraging what he called the "legal immunity granted by international laws and alleged humanitarian cover."

He specified this recruitment extends beyond Yemen to "Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Egypt," sometimes involving various nationalities to ensure operational mobility and intelligence gathering.

The expert asserted that international humanitarian law "revokes immunity from any person or entity using humanitarian work as cover for hostile activities," giving Yemen "full right to take preventive and punitive measures against involved parties, especially if their actions cause human or material damage."

He characterized these activities as "not new" but rather an extension of "Zionist-Western intelligence methods dating back decades," noting that cooperation between Mossad and Western intelligence has "complicated preventive security operations and requires constant vigilance by Yemeni security apparatus."

Marabouni concluded that Yemen's operations in "Al-Aqsa Flood" represented an "advanced model of military capabilities and strategic deterrence," with Yemen "always prepared to participate in any new confrontation should aggression against the Palestinian people resume." He stressed the importance of maintaining security vigilance and detecting any espionage attempts or sovereignty breaches under humanitarian cover.

The assessment presents a comprehensive view of how Yemen's military leadership perceives its role in the regional conflict and underscores ongoing concerns about intelligence activities masked as humanitarian work.
