News - Yemen: Religious and political affairs researcher Hammoud Al-Ahnoumi described martyred commander Major General Mohammed Abdulkarim al-Ghumari as a unique model of military, spiritual, and social leadership. 

He emphasized that al-Ghamari’s Qur’anic-guided path provides a practical and inspirational blueprint for leadership, as reflected in the transformative impact he left on Yemen’s Armed Forces.

Al-Ahnoumi highlighted that al-Ghumari was not only a military commander but also exemplified exceptional moral, social, and spiritual qualities that shaped his contributions on the battlefield. His efforts were instrumental in training, equipping, and arming the forces, while thwarting schemes that threatened Yemen’s security, including plans by the Israeli enemy.

The researcher noted that al-Ghamari’s influence was supported by divine guidance, enabling the Yemeni Armed Forces to achieve significant leaps in operational capabilities that would have been impossible without such rare qualities.

He added that al-Ghumari’s leadership combined resilience in difficult conditions, precise and innovative decision-making, and unwavering reliance on Allah, allowing him to face the harshest challenges without fatigue or desire for worldly reward.

These traits, Al-Ahnoumi said, made him a comprehensive leader integrating military command, ethical guidance, and social responsibility — a model for all future military leaders.

Al-Ahnoumi further stressed that al-Ghumari embodied the spirit of the Yemeni Qur’anic path and the national ethos, particularly during major confrontations such as the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, which demonstrated Yemeni leaders’ capacity to confront significant challenges and achieve strategic victories against enemy forces, including the Zionist entity.

He concluded by emphasizing the importance of studying such leadership models in military, combat, and Qur’anic cultural contexts, citing their crucial role in advancing Yemen’s Armed Forces and securing accomplishments that reflect the strength and enduring legacy of Yemen’s Qur’anic-guided path.

General Mohammed Abdulkarim al-Ghumari, Chief of Staff of Yemen’s Armed Forces and a leading figure in the country’s defense and regional operations supporting Gaza, was martyred in a US-Israeli airstrike targeting Yemen.

A veteran commander of Yemen’s resistance against US-Saudi aggression, Al-Ghamari played a pivotal role in developing Yemen’s strategic missile and drone capabilities and coordinating the nation’s military stance within the Axis of Resistance.

His martyrdom has been widely commemorated across Yemen, with millions participating in public funerals and rallies reaffirming the country’s unwavering support for Palestine and defiance of the Zionist enemy and its allies.
