News - Yemen: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Yemeni political analysts have paid tribute to Martyr General Mohammed Abdulkarim al-Ghamari, Chief of Staff of Yemen’s Armed Forces, describing him as a historic figure whose leadership and principles will continue to inspire resistance movements across generations.

In an interview with Al-Masirah TV, Ibrahim Nasouh, the PFLP’s representative in Yemen, extended condolences to the Yemeni people and the wider Axis of Resistance, calling Al-Ghamari’s martyrdom “a loss for the nation and the resistance as a whole.” He said the late commander embodied “a school of militant struggle and steadfast defense of the cause of Al-Quds and the holy sites.”

Nasouh noted that Al-Ghamari was among the pioneering architects of Yemen’s military industrialization, with results that became evident during recent confrontations and throughout two years of aggression on Palestine. He emphasized Yemen’s “practical model of armed solidarity” with Gaza, highlighting the success of naval operations that inflicted significant economic losses on the Israeli enemy and its allies.

“The Yemeni armed struggle presented an Arab model of genuine support for Gaza,” Nasouh said, “while other Arab armies failed to take comparable action.”
He further praised Yemen’s popular mobilization, citing continuous mass rallies, donation campaigns, and humanitarian aid efforts as proof of deep-rooted solidarity with Palestine despite Yemen’s own hardships.

Nasouh stressed that Al-Ghamari’s leadership exemplified unity among the resistance fronts in Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, and Iran, affirming that all stand “in the same trench defending the central cause of the Ummah.”

He concluded that the late commander’s legacy “will remain a guiding light for all freedom fighters,” underscoring that Yemen’s principled stance toward Gaza will persist as long as aggression continues.

In a separate statement, Fahmi al-Yousifi, Yemeni political analyst and former Deputy Minister of Information, described Al-Ghamari as “a product of an exceptional leadership school defined by wisdom, patience, and faith.”

He said the late general “established a lasting path for a military institution that does not compromise on national or central causes,” noting that his assassination “did not halt the march but instead gave rise to new leadership at all levels.”

Al-Yousifi emphasized that the school of Al-Ghamari promotes courage, steadfastness, and moral clarity in confronting arrogant powers, including the Zionist entity and NATO-aligned regimes.

He affirmed that Yemen’s and the resistance’s victories “represent the triumph of an institution, not an individual,” adding that the martyr’s values and example will continue to inspire future generations of commanders and fighters.

General Mohammed Abdulkarim al-Ghamari, Chief of Staff of Yemen’s Armed Forces and a senior figure in the country’s defense operations supporting Gaza, was martyred in a joint US-Israeli airstrike on Yemen. 

A veteran of Yemen’s resistance against US-Saudi aggression, Al-Ghamari played a central role in developing Yemen’s missile and drone programs and strengthening its position within the Axis of Resistance. His death has sparked widespread mourning and reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to the Palestinian cause and regional solidarity.
