News - Yemen: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned the United States, its ally Britain, and other parties against “overstepping” or attempting to interfere in Yemen’s independent judiciary.

In an official statement, the ministry stressed that Yemen’s courts operate with full independence under the Constitution and relevant laws.

The statement noted that the judiciary had issued rulings against espionage cells accused of cooperating with foreign states and providing information that facilitated hostile operations targeting several sites, resulting in the death of dozens of civilians and significant damage to infrastructure.

The ministry described any attempt to question the rulings of Yemeni courts as an unacceptable violation of Yemen’s internal affairs and an attack on the independence of a key state institution.

It added that the US has no standing to speak about justice or human rights “while its hands are stained with the blood of innocent people across the world, including the blood of the Palestinian people shed in Gaza in full American partnership with the Zionist entity.”

The ministry reaffirmed that Washington’s criticism of Yemeni judicial rulings only confirms its involvement in espionage activities against Yemen and its efforts to shield the agents it employed for that purpose.

Sana’a’s dispute with the US and Britain has escalated as both countries intensify political pressure on Yemen while remaining key supporters of the Saudi-UAE coalition. Recent Yemeni court rulings against foreign-linked espionage cells have become a focal point, with Washington and London questioning the trials.

Sana’a rejects these criticisms, viewing them as a direct intrusion into its judicial independence and an effort to protect networks accused of aiding hostile operations—especially at a time when US partnership with the Zionist entity in Gaza has heightened regional sensitivities.
