"We always hope that the level of support and reliance will rise to the standard set by dear Yemen, whose direct actions on the ground have had a significant impact on the equation," he stated.
Qassem added that rejecting displacement is a position that should be embraced by all Arab countries and should serve as the foundation for practical policies and coordinated field action.
He further explained that the resistance remains committed to implementing the terms of the agreement and will not yield to threats from US President Donald Trump. "Trump is repeating his threats to pressure the resistance, but our Palestinian people are not afraid of intimidation," he said.
The Hamas spokesperson pointed out that the United States has fostered an environment that empowers the extremist Zionist right, which refuses to fully implement the agreement and rejects making the necessary concessions.
Since the outbreak of Israel’s war on Gaza on 7 October 2023, sparked by the Palestinian resistance's Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, tensions in the region have escalated significantly. The war has led to widespread devastation in Gaza, drawing strong reactions from various regional actors, including Yemen.
Yemen’s leadership has openly aligned itself with the Palestinian cause, with the Yemeni Armed Forces actively targeting vessels linked to Israel or heading to Israeli ports. These operations have extended across key strategic waterways, including the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and even the Arabian Sea. Additionally, Yemeni forces have launched strikes against Israeli targets within the occupied territories.
Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, leader of the Yemeni revolution, has issued stern warnings against any attempt by Israel or the United States to forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza. He has vowed military action should such plans be pursued, framing Yemen’s involvement as a religious and moral obligation to support the Palestinian people.
In a televised speech from Sana’a on Thursday, he reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering commitment to Palestine, stating that the nation will not remain passive if the US or Israel proceeds with efforts to depopulate Gaza. He also criticized Israel for failing to uphold its obligations under the ceasefire agreement, citing restrictions on aid and essential supplies entering the Strip.
Furthermore, Sayyed Abdulmalik condemned US policy in the region, particularly US President Donald Trump’s stance on the Gaza ceasefire and his demand for the immediate release of Israeli captives. He dismissed Trump’s displacement plan for Gaza as unrealistic, ridiculing it as "naïve talk" from a nation that claims to champion civilization and human rights.
The developments underscore Yemen’s increasing role in regional geopolitics, positioning itself as a key player in the broader resistance movement against Israeli and Western influence in the Middle East.
