News - Middle East: The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday that the death toll from the Zionist aggression on Gaza has risen to 48,453 martyrs.

In its daily statistical report on the number of martyrs and wounded from the aggression," the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that seven bodies of martyrs were recovered, along with six injuries, and were brought to Gaza hospitals.

The Ministry of Health noted that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense teams.

The death toll from the Israeli military aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 48,453 martyrs, in addition to 111,860 injuries of varying severity, including serious and very serious cases.

Meanwhile, Palestinian sources confirmed the martyrdom of at least one Palestinian and the injury of several others due to Israeli enemy shelling of a gathering of citizens east of the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in Gaza City.

Additionally, enemy forces opened fire on a number of citizens east of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, as the ceasefire agreement continued to be violated by the Israeli enemy.

On January 19, a ceasefire agreement took effect between Israeli forces and Hamas, consisting of three phases, each lasting 42 days, with negotiations for the next phase required before completing the previous one.

Backed by the United States and its Western allies, Israel launched the war on Gaza after Hamas and other Gaza-based Palestinian resistance movements carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli regime in response to its decades-long campaign of oppression against Palestinians.
