In a statement, the ministry clarified that 31 civilians were martyred and 101 others were injured, most of them women and children, in an initial toll of the American aggression's airstrikes.
The ministry condemned the targeting of civilians and civilian facilities by the aggression coalition, noting that this constitutes a full-fledged war crime and a blatant violation of all international laws and conventions.
Earlier on Saturday, Trump had announced on X that he had ordered the United States military to launch “decisive and powerful military action” against, what he described as, Yemen’s Ansarullah, although the Saturday American attacks just targeted Yemeni civilians.
"We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective,” he had added.
The American enemy launched an aggression with nearly 30 airstrikes on the capital, Sana'a, Saadah, Dhamar, Hajjah, and Al-Bayda.
The aggression came a few days after the Yemeni Armed Forces resumed their maritime operation against Israeli-linked ships in the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea over the Tel Aviv regime’s blockade on Gaza.
In a social media post, Trump claimed that the attack was meant to “protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom.”
However, Mohammed Abdulsalam, the spokesperson for Ansarullah, reaffirmed again that the US president's “false” claim misled international public opinion as Yemen’s naval campaign is only limited to Israeli shipping until humanitarian aid is allowed into Gaza.
