Leader Warns of Gaza Famine as Israeli Siege Pushes Palestinians to Brink of Starvation

News - Yemen: The Leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi warned of the specter of famine threatening over two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, who face the risk of starvation in full view of the entire world—a disgraceful scene exposing the international community and humanitarian organizations.

In a speech marking the anniversary of the Sarkha, the leader addressed the latest developments in the aggression on Gaza and regional and international affairs, highlighting the scale of the humanitarian tragedy endured by the Palestinian people under US-backed Israeli aggression.

He began by emphasizing that what is happening in Gaza amounts to genocide in every sense of the word, citing the horrifying toll of the past week alone: approximately 1,300 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, the vast majority of whom were women and children—clear evidence of the enemy’s deliberate targeting of civilians.

Sayyed Abdulmalik noted that the brutality of the aggression has escalated to the complete annihilation of over 7,000 Palestinian families, a staggering figure reflecting the devastation inflicted on Palestinian society.

He further stated that the Israeli enemy has committed the crime of mass murder against more than 18,000 Palestinian children, an atrocity magnified by Gaza’s small geographic area. The number of female martyrs has exceeded 12,400, with children, women, and the elderly making up two-thirds of all casualties—proof that the aggression deliberately targets the most vulnerable.

The medical sector has not been spared, with over 1,400 doctors and healthcare workers martyred, part of the enemy’s clear effort to dismantle Gaza’s medical infrastructure and worsen the humanitarian crisis.

Regarding the siege and starvation policy, the leader affirmed that the Israeli enemy has persisted in its criminal blockade for two consecutive months, preventing all humanitarian aid from entering Gaza in blatant violation of international laws and conventions.

He stressed that the enemy is using starvation as a weapon, and the heartbreaking scenes of Palestinian children scrambling for scraps of food should shake the conscience of the world.

At the same time, Sayyed Abdulmalik praised the heroic resilience of the mujahideen in Gaza, highlighting how the Qassam Brigades carried out a series of high-quality military operations in recent days, dealing a major operational blow to the enemy’s forces and undermining its military strategy.

He explained that these operations targeted frontline positions, meaning any further enemy advance into populated areas would come at a heavily multiplied cost.

The enemy’s hesitation in Gaza, he said, is a direct result of the steadfastness of the mujahideen—Qassam Brigades, Saraya, and other resistance factions.

West Bank & Al-Aqsa Violations
In the West Bank, the leader condemned Israel’s ongoing abductions, home demolitions, land razing, and killings—all aimed at breaking the will of the Palestinian people.

In Quds, the enemy continues to violate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, with repeated incursions by Zionist settlers who desecrate its courtyards with dancing, chants, and provocative slogans.

He warned of the dangerous "Buraq Wall Elevator" project, calling it a major escalation in Israel’s efforts to Judaize Quds and seize full control over Al-Aqsa.

Lebanon: Israeli Aggression & Resistance’s Role
The leader addressed developments in Lebanon, where Israel continues its killings, destruction, and land seizures, even establishing new military outposts—a grave violation of agreements and an act of occupation in every sense.

He stressed that Lebanon’s official weakness only proves that the country’s true safeguard lies in supporting its steadfast resistance, which remains the only real deterrent against Israeli aggression. Without it, he warned, the enemy would have already invaded and occupied Lebanon entirely.

Sayyed Abdulmalik saluted Hezbollah and its Secretary-General, affirming that Yemen stands side by side with them against any large-scale Israeli aggression.

Syria: Ongoing Violations
In Syria, the leader stated that Israel persists in incursions, humiliating arrests, illegal checkpoints, and even seizing farmland to convert into helicopter landing zones—targeting Syria’s security and stability.

Egypt & U.S.-Israeli Ambitions
Regarding Egypt, the leader referenced a statement by US President Donald Trump, warning that his declaration of "opening the Suez Canal to Americans" is a direct threat to Egypt. He cautioned that American and Israeli ambitions spare no one in the region.
