News - Yemen: Lebanese military expert Brigadier General Omar Maarabouni described Yemen’s successful hypersonic missile strike on Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport on Friday afternoon as a strategic turning point that reshapes the balance of power in the region and exposes the depth of Zionist collapse and the failure of U.S. defense systems.

Yemen’s advanced missiles have exposed the incompetence of the US-Israeli air defense systems, including the much-touted "THAAD" and "Arrow" (Hetz) systems, which proved useless against Yemeni precision strikes.

On Friday,The Yemeni Armed Forces announced a series of military operations targeting Israeli sites, including a precision strike on Lod Airport (known as "Ben Gurion" in Israel) in the occupied Yafa (Tel Aviv) region. The attack was carried out with a hypersonic ballistic missile, which reportedly hit its target successfully.  

According to military statements read by spokesman brigadier general Yahya Sare’e, “Israeli air defense systems failed to intercept the missile, forcing millions of settlers to seek shelter and causing a near-hour-long suspension of flights at the airport. The operation was described as part of Yemen’s ongoing enforcement of a no-fly zone against what it called the "criminal Israeli entity."  

In a separate operation, Yemen’s drone unit targeted a strategic Israeli site in Yafa using a "Yafa"-type unmanned aircraft. The military did not provide further details on the extent of damage caused.  

The latest escalation comes amid rising regional tensions over the war in Gaza, where Palestinian health officials report over 52,800 killed and 119,000 wounded since the Israeli aggression began. Yemen has positioned itself as an active participant in the conflict, vowing further operations until Israeli aggression ends.
