Israeli media reported that both Air India and LOT Polish Airlines have extended the suspension of their flights to and from Lod Airport—referred to by the occupation as "Ben Gurion Airport"—as warnings from the Yemeni Armed Forces about the risks of returning continue to intensify, alongside their ongoing operations.
Air India confirmed it would not resume flights to Lod before June 18, while LOT Polish Airlines postponed its flights until May 26, after initially planning to resume service on the 18th.
These announcements come after the global Lufthansa Group also extended the suspension of all flights to and from occupied Jaffa until May 25.
A group of 20 foreign airlines has officially requested that the Israeli transportation authority implement measures to facilitate the resumption of flights.
Among the proposed changes are reducing the mandatory cancellation notice period from 14 days to 3 days, and limiting the obligation to provide hotel accommodation for affected passengers to a maximum of two nights. However, the Israeli regime remains unable to take any effective action or implement solutions to mitigate its growing international air isolation.
While the occupation suffers from the impact of the air blockade, Yemen has delivered a parallel blow by resuming operations at Sana’a International Airport in record time—a development that stunned the enemy and provoked its media.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported on the shock within the regime, stating that Israeli officials had expected the airport to be out of service for at least a month.
"This morning, a Yemenia Airways plane landed in Sana’a," the report noted, adding that Yemen managed to overcome the Israeli regime’s attempts to impose an air blockade—an effort meant to break Yemen’s comprehensive siege on the Zionist entity.
Similarly, Israel’s Channel 12 said in a report: “Just 10 days later, the (destroyed) airport in Sana’a is already receiving passenger flights, despite the defense minister’s statements about its destruction.”
Available data indicate that Israeli attacks—despite their expansion and intensity—have failed to achieve their intended goals, while Yemen’s focused operations continue to prove effective and maintain enduring consequences.
