News - Middle East: A prominent Israeli newspaper confirmed that Yemeni deterrence cannot be stopped unless the aggression and siege on Gaza are ended, noting the failure of the US and the Israeli enemy to influence Yemen’s position.

Israel Hayom published an in-depth report highlighting the effectiveness, continuity, and escalation of Yemeni operations, in contrast to the ineffectiveness of Israeli strikes on Yemen in curbing support operations.

The paper stated that “Israel" is attempting to impose some form of air or naval blockade on Yemen, but the effect has been limited. It added that the resumption of operations at Sana'a International Airport proves the limited impact of attacks on Yemen.

It also warned, “A single missile from Yemen that we fail to intercept and which hits the Ben Gurion Airport area is enough to impose a kind of aerial blockade on us.”

The newspaper acknowledged that all efforts to halt Yemeni operations have failed, emphasizing: “The key to solving many issues lies in ending the war on Gaza. That alone would immediately stop Yemeni fire.”

It stressed that Netanyahu’s government must get used to routine fire from Yemen and normalize it as long as the war on Gaza continues.

Regarding Yemeni military tactics, the report explained that the Yemenis have the capability to continue their disruptive missile strikes on Israel for a long time, pointing to Yemen’s long-standing deterrence against the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition over the past seven years.

The Hebrew newspaper admitted to Yemen’s independent capabilities and self-reliance, stating that the Yemenis have broad space for production.

The report from Israel Hayom comes amid intense Israeli media coverage following the Yemeni Armed Forces’ announcement of a naval blockade on Haifa Port and the continuation of operations as part of a comprehensive aerial siege—particularly after the US exit from the confrontation, effectively defeated.

Since the outbreak of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemen has positioned itself as a key regional actor in support of the Palestinian cause. The Yemeni Armed Forces have launched a series of escalating military operations, including missile and drone attacks and the imposition of naval and aerial blockades, targeting Israeli-linked interests and infrastructure.

Initially focusing on the Red Sea and the port of Umm Al-Rashrash (Eilat), Yemen disrupted Israeli and international shipping routes. In May 2025, the campaign reached a new phase with the declaration of a naval blockade on Haifa Port in northern occupied Palestine, signaling both strategic escalation and expanding operational reach.

Amid this backdrop, Israeli media outlets have increasingly acknowledged the effectiveness of Yemen’s operations and their growing impact on Israeli security and economy, reinforcing the perception that only a political solution—namely, ending the war on Gaza—can halt the rising Yemeni attacks.
