Egyptian Writer: Arab States Complicit in Zionist-American Aggression Against Palestinians

News - Middle East: Egyptian writer and journalist Ihab Shawqi stated that Arab countries are directly complicit in the Zionist-American aggression against the Palestinian people. Instead of pressuring the enemy to stop the assault and siege on Gaza, they continue to fill the enemy’s coffers with massive funds.

In a special statement to Almasirah channel on Sunday morning, Shawqi pointed to the positive stances of some European nations, particularly France, which has strongly advocated for a two-state solution, emphasizing that recognizing a Palestinian state is not just a moral duty but a political necessity.

He stressed that the enemy entity’s crimes, massacres, and genocide in Gaza, along with its reoccupation of the Strip, must be confronted through resistance and the boycott of the Zionist regime. Shawqi warned that the Arab world is losing ground daily, now targeting resistance in Lebanon after failing in Syria—a prelude to further US intervention in Gaza and the region.

Deliberate Massacres During Aid Distribution
Shawqi condemned the scenes of Zionist occupation soldiers firing on Palestinian civilians attempting to receive humanitarian aid at distribution points set up by the Israeli enemy in collaboration with an American company or the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian" organization. He emphasized that there is no justification for the criminal entity to bomb civilians seeking aid in unsafe locations—forced upon them by the occupation, the US, and the UN—while also blocking ambulances from reaching the martyrs and wounded.

He noted that the entry of aid into Gaza through a suddenly emerged, shadowy US-linked organization—operating under Zionist protection—is designed to humiliate the Palestinian people in front of the world. This scheme, part of a broader Zionist-American plan, deliberately places aid in distant and dangerous areas to systematically displace Palestinians from their lands.

Hypocrisy of Aid Under Genocide
Shawqi highlighted the intense pressure on Israel regarding humanitarian aid to Gaza, where people are dying of starvation. Yet, the enemy only allows minimal flour and supplements, prompting the question: Why demand that the Zionist entity—responsible for starving Palestinians—bring in aid instead of demanding an end to the massacres and genocide?

Collapse of Global Legitimacy
He argued that the atrocities in Gaza expose the hypocrisy of the international system, international law, and even Saudi-led initiatives for Palestinian statehood. The only solution, Shawqi asserted, is resistance and inevitable confrontation. He praised Yemen’s heroic military operations against the criminal entity, contrasting it with the weak and fragmented Arab and Islamic response.

Shawqi’s remarks underscore the urgent need for unified resistance against the ongoing genocide and the complicity of global powers in enabling it.

Israel has carried out two deadly attacks on newly established aid sites run by the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), killing dozens of Palestinians in the third and fourth such attacks on the aid distribution centers in Gaza since they began operating last week.

Early on Sunday morning, the Israeli forces opened fire, killing at least 40 people, and injuring 150 others at a GHF site in Rafah.

Since October 7, 2023, when the Israeli regime began its genocidal war on Gaza, it has killed more than 54,000 Palestinians and injured over 124,000 others, most of whom are children and women.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has escalated dramatically since March 2, after the Israeli regime imposed an aid blockade on the besieged territory.

Since the aid blockade began, 57 children have died from the effects of malnutrition, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
