The air and naval blockade imposed on Israel has severely impacted its economic landscape. Several investment sectors are suffering sharp declines in revenue, most notably the complete shutdown of the Port of Eilat, which has been rendered entirely non-operational.
According to a report published by the Zionist newspaper Yomyom on June 14 of last year, the last ship to dock at the port of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat), carrying new vehicles from the East, arrived in November 2023. This indicates the port has been completely inactive for over a year and a half. The report also highlights the failure of the US-British coalition and the Israeli entity to halt Yemen’s military operations, which have turned Eilat into a ghost town.
Despite widespread and unconditional support from Western powers and Arab normalization states, the effects of the air and sea blockade persist. These are evident in rising reverse migration, increasing prices, and a significant decline in tourism during the summer season.
Military expert Brigadier General Mujib Shamsan stated that approximately 47,000 tech companies have exited Israel since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, noting that these firms represented a major portion of the occupation’s revenue.
In an exclusive interview with Al-Masirah, Brig. Gen. Shamsan revealed that hundreds of investors and large capital holders have left the occupied Palestinian territories — an exodus unprecedented in history.
Despite US and Western pressure on investors to remain in the Zionist settlements, the prevailing instability continues to undermine these efforts.
The expansion of Yemeni military operations deep into Israeli territory is intensifying the crisis facing the Zionist entity and further disproving its long-standing "absolute security" doctrine.
According to Shamsan, the intensity and reach of Yemeni missile fire across multiple sites sends a clear message: Yemen is capable of destabilizing the Israeli entity and dismantling the illusion of total security throughout all occupied Palestinian territories — especially as neither Israeli nor American defenses have been able to provide the necessary protection.
