In remarks to the Yemeni News Agency Saba, President Al-Mashat made it clear that companies remaining in Israel after this warning will bear full responsibility for any losses incurred as a result of their continued presence.
"We may take additional measures in the coming days, if necessary, that will place investment companies operating within the Zionist entity at real and significant risk," he said.
President Al-Mashat emphasized that the decision of some companies to ignore Yemeni warnings renders their operations a dangerous gamble, likely to come at a heavy cost.
He further criticized the Netanyahu government, saying it recklessly endangers foreign investments to serve its own political interests. “A government that disregards the lives of its own captives will certainly not care about the safety of foreign companies or their investments,” he added.
Al-Mashat announced that relevant Yemeni authorities will be instructed to set a specific timeframe for companies to withdraw, as part of Yemen's efforts to minimize broader harm and to prevent the Israeli government from drawing others into the consequences of its policies.
He also warned that the impact on companies may extend beyond Israel, affecting their wider regional or global operations, should Yemen's Armed Forces move forward with the next phase of escalation.
Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, the Yemeni Armed Forces have launched a series of strategic military operations—including missile and drone strikes as well as naval and aerial blockades—targeting Israeli-linked infrastructure and shipping routes.
What began with the disruption of maritime traffic in the Red Sea soon evolved into more expansive campaigns, affecting key Israeli economic hubs such as the port of Eilat and Lod Airport.
These operations form part of Yemen’s declared policy of pressuring Israel to end its war on Gaza and lift the siege. The attacks have triggered widespread disruptions in international shipping, tourism, and air travel, with dozens of global airlines suspending operations to and from Israeli airports.
