Military expert Brigadier General Aziz Rashid pointed out that these developments reflect the advancement of Yemeni capabilities in tactics, planning, and execution. They aim to exert substantial economic and military pressure on the Zionist entity to compel it to respond to the demands of the resistance and halt its aggression against Gaza.
Rashid added that the integrated operations between drones, missile forces demonstrate effective coordination in directing aircraft and missiles, reflecting Yemen’s ability to target vital sites and military objectives in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Regarding the key implications of the statement and the geographic distribution of the targets—from Jaffa to Ashdod and Eilat—Rashid indicated that this "reflects the capability of Yemeni weapons to penetrate the Zionist entity’s air defense systems, including American-made systems, and is an indicator of significant vulnerabilities in these systems."
He affirmed that the selected targets for these operations define future directions and instill fear in the enemy’s hearts, reflecting Yemen’s ability to plan and disrupt the enemy on psychological, military, and security levels, highlighting that the enemy is no longer safe.
Rashid explained that some targets, such as planning centers, command and control, intelligence, aircraft squadrons, and ammunition depots, can be struck solely by drones, while airports, ports require ballistic and hypersonic missiles carrying large and diverse warheads.
He pointed out that Yemen has entered a sensitive phase, and the Zionist entity is facing greater economic pressure and large, effective operations.
He considered the statements by President Al-Mashat and a source from the Yemeni Ministry of Defense as highly important warnings issued from the highest relevant levels, stressing the importance of a positive response from air and sea transport companies to these serious messages.
With the imposition of a full air blockade on Lod Airport and the execution of destructive strikes on ports and airports, it appears that the Zionist entity faces difficult choices. Will these increasing pressures force the entity to retreat and stop its aggression on Gaza, or will the region witness a broader escalation?
Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, the Yemeni Armed Forces have launched a series of strategic military operations—including missile and drone strikes as well as naval and aerial blockades—targeting Israeli-linked infrastructure and shipping routes.
What began with the disruption of maritime traffic in the Red Sea soon evolved into more expansive campaigns, affecting key Israeli economic hubs such as the port of Eilat and Lod Airport.
These operations form part of Yemen’s declared policy of pressuring Israel to end its war on Gaza and lift the siege. The attacks have triggered widespread disruptions in international shipping, tourism, and air travel, with dozens of global airlines suspending operations to and from Israeli airports.
