News - Middle East: Israel's public broadcaster has indicated that repeated attacks on Lod Airport represent a new economic threat to Israelis, noting that the "Yemeni group" is determined to achieve its objectives of harming the Israeli economy.

The broadcaster warned that the latest statement by Yemen's President Mahdi al-Mashat poses a threat to the public life of Israeli settlers, adding that the fulfillment of such threats could lead foreign investors to withdraw their investments from "Israel."

According to the report, foreign companies have already begun pulling out due to the latest attack on Lod Airport and the ongoing operations targeting it.

The broadcaster added that continued attacks on the Israeli entity will have major economic repercussions. In this context, Hebrew media acknowledged that President al-Mashat’s call for international companies to withdraw their investments from "Israel" has resonated widely in global economic and security circles.

It also expressed concern over the possibility of Yemeni forces carrying out real attacks on workplaces linked to "Israel" or disrupting trade routes connected to it.

Since late 2023, Yemen’s Armed Forces have intensified military operations against Israeli-linked targets as part of solidarity actions with the Palestinian people in Gaza. These operations, which include missile and drone strikes as well as naval blockades, have notably impacted strategic infrastructure such as Lod Airport.
