News - Yemen: A military expert has described the recent Israeli aggression against Yemen as a futile escalation that highlights the enemy’s intelligence failures and further bolsters Yemen’s military deterrence capabilities.

In a statement to Al-Masirah TV, Colonel Rashad Al-Watiri said that media outlets affiliated with the enemy had announced the launch of drones into Yemeni airspace to carry out strikes aimed at weakening the capabilities of the Yemeni Armed Forces—efforts he affirmed have failed.

He added that the targeting of elevated geographical areas in Hodeidah province and elsewhere indicates the enemy's inability to achieve vital and strategic objectives.

Colonel Al-Watiri emphasized that the Israeli aggression is a reckless move that will not alter the course of the battle but will instead enhance the strength and resolve of the Yemeni Army. He also noted that the Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Al-Ghamari, had sent a message to the Al-Qassam Brigades affirming that Yemeni forces remain steadfast in their position and continue their heroic and jihadi operations. The message reaffirmed Yemen’s military resilience and ongoing support for Al-Qassam fighters and other resistance forces.

This sentiment was echoed by Yemen’s Minister of Defense and Military Production, Mohammad Nasser Al-Atifi, who confirmed that the Yemeni Armed Forces are fully prepared to escalate against the Israeli entity if directives are issued by the high command. Such escalation would increase the scope of both the aerial and maritime blockade. He stated that Yemen is now capable of launching strikes around the clock using drones and ballistic missiles.

According to Al-Watiri, the Israeli enemy is using its aggression against Yemen to project an image of power to the international community. However, he stressed that these hostile actions have not diminished the morale of the Yemeni forces or the Yemeni people. Yemen continues its resistance and unwavering support for the Palestinian fighters, confirming the Armed Forces’ full preparedness to confront any potential escalation.

On Tuesday, the Zionist enemy launched two airstrikes targeting the piers at Hodeidah Port in western Yemen.

Despite these aggressions, the Yemeni Armed Forces have continued their operations against Zionist targets deep inside occupied Palestinian territories in support of Gaza and its resistance.

At the same time, Yemen has imposed a naval blockade on Zionist maritime traffic, targeted Lod Airport (Ben Gurion), and enforced a flight ban. Sana’a reaffirms its commitment to continue these operations until the siege is lifted and the aggression against Gaza ends.
