News- Middle East: President Masoud Pezeshkian says Iran is determined to continue its intensified efforts to mobilize international support for Gaza.

“The utilization of all diplomatic and political capacities to immediately stop the Zionists’ crimes in Gaza will continue,” Pezeshkian said during a meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Jamil Mezher and his accompanying delegation in Tehran on Wednesday.

“One of our fundamental priorities in [our] meetings with [other] countries’ officials and [our] attendance at international forums is to defend the oppressed nation of Palestine,” Pezeshkian added.

The Iranian president said supporting the oppressed people around the world, especially the Palestinian nation, is an “unchangeable” policy of the Islamic Republic.

“We will do everything in our power to support the oppressed Palestinian nation."

Pezeshkian also noted that the lack of a united Muslim stance against the Israeli crimes has emboldened the regime to continue its actions.

“What we seek is to strengthen convergence, brotherhood, and good neighborliness in the Islamic world, and to achieve a common perspective and stance regarding regional and international issues, including the Palestinian issue,” he said.

Pezeshkian warned that the enemies of the Muslim Ummah are attempting to divide the Islamic world and create a rift between the Muslim countries to “plunder their resources” and sell them military equipment, while “providing a safe haven” for the Israeli regime to continue its crimes in Gaza, Lebanon and other Muslim countries.

For his part, Mezher appreciated Iran’s support for the Palestinian cause.

“We sincerely appreciate your supportive, enlightening, and unifying stances in defending the Palestinian issue,” he said.

Mezher put a premium on a unified Muslim approach and stance on the Palestinian issue, amid the current sensitive and complex situation, saying Iran has always played a “prominent and decisive” role in this regard.

Meanwhile, he praised the unity among resistance movements in thwarting the Zionist plots, calling for the utilization of all the capacities of the Islamic world at both regional and international levels to stop the massacres in Gaza.

Despite the immense scale of Israeli crimes, Mezher stated that “the Palestinian nation has stood firm and has not allowed their sinister plans, including the forced displacement of Gaza's residents, to be realized."
