News_ Middle East: The Yemeni Scholars Association has declared its full support for Iran’s right to respond to any escalation or threat of aggression.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Association expressed unwavering solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of any hostile actions. It praised Iran’s potential deterrent measures and urged Islamic governments and peoples to stand united with Tehran against any aggression.

In a related context, the Association emphasized the increasing religious responsibility to support Gaza. It called on Muslim scholars and the wider Muslim world to reject silence and apathy in the face of the Zionist entity’s daily crimes.

The Association reiterated its strong support for the Yemeni Armed Forces’ jihadist operations, stating that the Muslim Ummah—its leaders, armies, and peoples—has no excuse for failing to mobilize in defense of the oppressed in Gaza.

It also commended Yemen’s principled leadership in supporting Gaza and urged the Syrian and Lebanese peoples to remain vigilant against the Zionist threat and direct their anger accordingly.

The statement stressed that true Islamic identity and adherence to the Qur’an compel Muslim nations to act swiftly in defense of Gaza. It further affirmed the obligation to show solidarity with Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Hezbollah in the face of any aggression.

Earlier Yemen's President Mahdi Al-Mashat strongly condemned the US threats directed at the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a statement on Thursday, President Al-Mashat affirmed that Iran has the full right to defend its sovereignty and denounced any form of interference in the internal affairs of sovereign nations.

The United States has initiated a partial evacuation of its diplomatic and military personnel across West Asia amid escalating regional tensions. On Wednesday, the US State Department ordered the departure of non-emergency staff from its embassy in Baghdad and recommended the voluntary departure of military dependents from American bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

President Donald Trump confirmed the decision, citing potential threats in the region and describing the situation as dangerous. This move follows intelligence assessments suggesting that Israel may be preparing to launch strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities — a scenario that has raised fears of retaliatory action from Iran, potentially targeting US assets.

Further heightening the stakes, an Iranian security official cofirmed that Tehran recently obtained a cache of classified Israeli documents, granting Iran "extensive intelligence superiority" over both American and Israeli targets in the region.
