News - Yemen: Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi strongly condemned the Israeli assassination that targeted a Yemeni government workshop last Thursday, killing Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi along with several ministers and officials.

He described the crime as further evidence of the brutality of the Zionist enemy and stressed that Yemen’s sacrifices will only strengthen its resolve and unity in supporting Palestine.

In a televised address, Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed that President Mahdi Al-Mashat’s speech fully reflected both the official and popular stance of Yemen. He emphasized that the address honored the martyrs, reaffirmed the nation’s position, and extended condolences to the families of the victims, their colleagues, and the Yemeni people.

“The martyrs of the Zionist aggression are martyrs of all Yemen,” he said, noting that the targeted ministers were civilians working in non-military sectors. “This cowardly act had no military value but reveals the savagery of an enemy that has resorted to unchecked crimes after failing on the battlefield.”

Sayyed Abdulmalik underscored that the crime highlights the importance of Yemen’s principled stance in the region. He described the Zionist entity as a project of domination and enslavement, rooted in ideology and culture, and warned that it poses a grave threat to the entire nation. “We are engaged in the holiest battle,” he declared, “and what we offer for Allah’s cause is not loss but met with His support and victory.”

He stressed that true defeat lies in humiliation and submission to the occupier, while Yemen’s sacrifices represent dignity, steadfastness, and obedience to Allah. “Our faith and humanity reject silence as Zionists desecrate Al-Aqsa,” he added.

The leader highlighted that the military campaign against the Israeli enemy continues to escalate through missiles, drones, and naval operations, while support for Palestine extends across military, political, economic, and media fronts. 

He praised the dedication of Yemen’s men, women, and children, whose determination is reflected in weekly mass demonstrations chanting solidarity with Palestine.

Sayyed Abdulmalik also commended the achievements of Yemen’s security forces in protecting the home front, preventing infiltration, and confronting traitors who serve the Israeli agenda. He assured that further successes will be announced in the coming days.

Looking ahead, he noted the people’s wide preparations for the blessed Prophet’s Birthday anniversary and recalled the millions who rallied last Friday in solidarity with Palestine and jihad in Allah’s path. “This great awakening and wide jihadist movement reflects our deep faith,” he said, affirming that Yemen today lives with honor and dignity, unlike those who accept shame and submission.

The assassination of Prime Minister Al-Rahwi marks one of the most high-profile Israeli enemy strikes on Yemeni leadership since the 2018 assassination of President Saleh Al-Sammad. Observers see it as an attempt to paralyze Yemen’s political command amid its escalating military role in the regional confrontation. However, Yemen’s swift institutional response and popular mobilization suggest the strike may further consolidate national unity and amplify Yemen’s central position in the struggle against the Israeli entity.
