News - Middle East: Israeli enemy media reported on Sunday that authorities temporarily closed the airspace over Ramon Airport in southern occupied Palestine due to concerns over a possible intrusion by a Yemeni drone.

The precautionary measure reflects rising security fears as Yemeni Armed Forces intensify long-range drone and missile operations targeting critical sites deep inside Israeli-occupied territory.

Located in a strategically sensitive area near Umm Al-Rashrash (Eilat), Ramon Airport has become increasingly vulnerable to drone incursions. Analysts note that Yemeni drones, capable of flying at low altitudes and evading conventional radar systems, pose a growing challenge to Israel’s air defenses and a direct threat to vital infrastructure, particularly airports.

Although the closure was temporary, it underscores potential disruption to both civilian and military air traffic and highlights Israeli enemy’s struggle to adapt to unconventional aerial threats.

Since mid-2024, Yemen’s Armed Forces have escalated cross-border attacks against the Israeli enemy, framing them as part of regional support for Gaza amid the ongoing war.
