News - Yemen: Yemen's government in Sana'a strongly condemned the killing of Yemeni journalists in an Israeli aggression on the offices of 26 September and Al-Yemen newspapers in the capital Sana’a, describing the attack as a “war crime and a flagrant violation of international laws and conventions.”

In a statement issued Sunday, the government mourned the slain journalists, stressing that targeting media professionals represents a desperate attempt by the Israeli enemy to conceal the truth and prevent global public opinion from knowing the scale of its crimes.

The statement noted that the Zionist military has a long record of deliberately targeting journalists and media institutions in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen, adding that such attacks will not weaken Yemen’s media role in exposing “the crimes of the US-Israeli aggression against the peoples of the Islamic nation.”

The government emphasized that these crimes will only push Yemeni media to intensify their efforts across all platforms to counter “the Zionist narrative.” It called for greater mobilization and coordination among media outlets to confront Israeli propaganda.

Holding the international community and the UN accountable for their silence, the government urged human rights groups, free nations, and media organizations worldwide to immediately condemn these attacks and push for accountability against the perpetrators.

The statement also expressed full solidarity with the families of the victims from 26 September and Al-Yemen newspapers, vowing to continue on the path of the “martyr journalists” until “the promised victory.”

The attack comes amid ongoing Israeli aggression across Yemen, following months of escalating regional tensions linked to the Gaza war. Journalists and media workers have increasingly found themselves targeted in conflict zones, with international watchdogs repeatedly warning that the killing of journalists constitutes a breach of international humanitarian law.
