News - Middle East: The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels as the Zionist entity intensifies its military campaign, leaving no semblance of safety, health services, or basic security for civilians, according to Al-Masirah correspondent Doaa Rouqa.

Rouqa reported that Israeli enemy forces committed horrific massacres overnight, directly targeting residential homes in the densely populated al-Sabra neighborhood. Airstrikes on the Dagmash and Haddad family houses killed at least 15 people, with many others still trapped beneath the rubble. She said the deliberate targeting aims to terrorize civilians and drive them into forced displacement toward central and southern Gaza.

The correspondent described a night filled with continuous explosions, including detonations from booby-trapped robotic vehicles carrying tons of explosives, causing massive destruction. She added that armed quadcopter drones now dominate large areas of Gaza City skies, while tanks and armored vehicles push forward on three fronts: northwestern, northeastern, and southwestern. As a result, civilian movement is restricted largely to central areas and small pockets of the west and south.

Rouqa also confirmed that waves of forced displacement continue but are “marked by suffering, humiliation, and despair,” as residents leave their homes without knowing where to go. Available shelters in central and southern Gaza are either nonexistent or unaffordable, including land plots being rented out for makeshift tents.

She noted that the Israeli enemy has deliberately targeted water pipelines and communications networks to “strangle life in the city and pressure residents into flight.” Gaza City, she warned, is being systematically turned into a “ghost town,” recalling the earlier destruction of the al-Zaytoun, Shuja’iya, and Tuffah neighborhoods, as well as the near-total leveling of Jabalia refugee camp.

The Gaza Strip has been under a crippling siege imposed by the Israeli enemy for nearly two decades, severely limiting access to food, medicine, fuel, and construction materials. Since October 2023, the Zionist entity has waged its deadliest assault on Gaza, killing tens of thousands and displacing the majority of the enclave’s population. Human rights organizations have repeatedly accused it of pursuing a policy of collective punishment and ethnic cleansing, while international mediation efforts have so far failed to halt the bombardment.
