News - Middle East: The Israeli newspaper Calcalist has reported that Israel faces a significant dilemma in its military campaign against the Yemenis, having failed to deter them despite intensive raids on Yemeni ports, airports, and government figures.

The report stated that these strikes have "not achieved any tangible goal so far." It highlighted that while the frequency of Yemeni attacks is limited—averaging about one missile every few days—they have nonetheless inflicted "significant economic damage" on Israel, which reportedly "exceeds initial expectations."

Calcalist pointed to the successful Yemeni targeting of "Ben Gurion Airport" as a particularly harsh blow to international air traffic, causing severe damage to the air transport sector. The newspaper confirmed that the Yemeni threat remains present in a "literal and direct" manner.

According to the report, the "failure of previous American attempts to deter the Yemenis increases the difficulty of the Israeli position," placing the government in Tel Aviv before a "real dilemma" in how to deal with this persistent challenge. This assessment points to a growing recognition within Israeli circles of the strategic resilience of the Yemeni campaign and the limited efficacy of current military responses.

The Israeli enemy has conducted aggression airstrikes inside Yemen, this report from an Israeli source suggests these efforts have failed to achieve their core objective of deterrence, raising questions about the strategy's effectiveness.

Since November 2023, the Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted a persistent campaign against Israeli-linked shipping in the Red Sea and launched missiles and drones toward occupied territories. They state these operations are in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and will continue until the Israeli enemy siege is lifted. 

The Gaza Strip has been under a crippling siege imposed by the Israeli enemy for nearly two decades, severely limiting access to food, medicine, fuel, and construction materials. Since October 2023, the Zionist entity has waged its deadliest assault on Gaza, killing tens of thousands and displacing the majority of the enclave’s population. Human rights organizations have repeatedly accused it of pursuing a policy of collective punishment and ethnic cleansing, while international mediation efforts have so far failed to halt the bombardment.
