News - Middle East: Gaza City is witnessing an unprecedented military escalation as Israeli enemy forces push deeper into the heart of the city, intensifying aerial and artillery bombardment and trapping thousands of civilians in narrow neighborhoods without safe passage or basic necessities.

Almasirah correspondent in Gaza, Doaa Rowqa, confirmed that the Zionist entity has expanded the scope of its ground operations, deploying armored forces along three main axes within Gaza City and imposing a military cordon on the remaining residential neighborhoods still inhabited by civilians, despite repeated calls for forced displacement.

In a report for the Nawafeth program on Tuesday morning, Rowqa detailed that occupation tanks advanced from the southwestern axis towards the University Intersection, near the Al-Shifa medical complex. A second incursion was concentrated in the northwest of the city near the Al-Shati camp, while a third axis extended from the northeast towards the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and the Al-Ghafri intersection.

She reported that attack helicopters are flying at low altitudes and firing randomly at residential areas and civilian gatherings, resulting in dozens of casualties daily.

The correspondent explained that the remaining residents of the city are now besieged in a narrow geographical area including the "Al-Samer intersection, Al-Rimal neighborhood, Al-Nasr neighborhood, Al-Saha, Al-Saraya, and the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital." In contrast, occupation forces now control most of the city's neighborhoods and prevent any movement towards the south except under forced and dangerous circumstances.

Regarding the health situation, Rowqa confirmed that the health system in Gaza is on the verge of complete collapse, noting that several hospitals are out of service, including Al-Shifa Hospital and the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, along with several field clinics, due to direct targeting or the depletion of fuel and medicine.

She stated that medical teams are working under overwhelming conditions, with no electricity, water shortages, and a continuous influx of wounded, making the provision of medical care nearly impossible.

Amid this ongoing escalation and the occupation's obstinacy in opening humanitarian corridors or allowing aid entry, the people of Gaza are living in a tragic humanitarian situation, while international organizations warn of an imminent catastrophe threatening the lives of tens of thousands of civilians trapped in the heart of a city under bombardment and destruction.
