News - Yemen: The leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, has commended the Lebanese people for their massive commemoration of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, framing it as a testament to the resilience of the "Axis of Resistance" amidst ongoing regional tensions.

In his weekly speech on Thursday, the leader described the Lebanese public's observance of the first anniversary of Sayyed Nasrallah's martyrdom as "great and honorable." He stated that the "immense commemoration and wide popular attendance in Lebanon proved the resistance's popular base, its loyalty, and its steadfastness."

He emphasized that the slogan "We remain faithful to the covenant," prominent in the ceremonies, carries significant and crucial meaning in the face of Israeli criminality, American pressures, and pressures from some Arab regimes. He noted that the popular base of the resistance in Lebanon, despite having offered great sacrifices, has proven its loyalty and embodied great values.

Shifting focus to Syria, the leader outlined that the "Zionist tactic in southern Syria aims to entrench control, and is not merely about ordinary events." He pointed to the Israeli enemy's insistence on daily raids, setting up checkpoints, and carrying out assaults in southern Syria, with the objective of consolidating its grip.

In a significant remark, Sayyed Abdulmalik highlighted that "for the first time, a Zionist blew the ram's horn (shofar) in a synagogue in the heart of Damascus," describing this as a step indicative of the level of penetration achieved into the Syrian capital. This act, he suggested, symbolizes the deepening of what he perceives as an Israeli encroachment on Syrian sovereignty.

Recently, the Israeli occupation forces have arrested, disarmed and "stripped naked" a number of the militants allied with Syria’s ruling Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), with the Takfiri-linked regime led by Abu Mohammed al-Jolani remaining silent on the embarrassing move.

Iraq's Alahad TV news network, citing some Arab media outlets and local news channels in Syria, reported the arrest of “several” HTS members in the Damascus countryside by the Israeli regime's occupation army.

Israeli troops regularly carry out raids across various parts of Syria since Western-backed Jolani, also known as Ahmed al-Sharaa and once affiliated with al-Qaeda and Daesh, was installed as president in Damascus.

The Israeli enemy has carried out hundreds of airstrikes to destroy the heavy weapons and military capabilities of Damascus under the controversial rule of HTS militant group over the Arab nation.

Experts maintain that the HTS regime's inaction, along with its consent to normalization with Tel Aviv, has emboldened Israel to expand its occupation of Syrian soil and intensify its airstrikes on the country.
