News- Middle East: Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, also known as the National Student Day, represents the nation’s strategic choice between resistance and submission.

The IRGC released a statement on Monday to mark the anniversary of the takeover of the United States embassy in Tehran by Iranian university students on November 4, 1979.

It said the documents obtained from the embassy, also known as the Den of Espionage in Iran, showed the compound was more of a CIA station than a diplomatic mission.

The documents also revealed that the United States does not view diplomacy as a tool for engagement, but rather a cover for infiltration, deception, overthrow, and intelligence gathering aimed at delivering a blow at an opportune moment.

“The takeover of the Den of Espionage embodies a strategic choice between the path of resistance, dignity, and independence versus that of compromise, submission, and surrender,” the IRGC stated.

The elite military force said the hostility between Iran and the United States is not a political misunderstanding, but rooted in a structural conflict of interests.

Hostility towards Iran has become an institutionalized strategy of the White House from the 1953 coup to the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and throughout the past almost five decades, the statement said.

The IRGC said the US’s recent behavior toward Iran, including its collaboration with Israel during the 12-day imposed war of June, “demonstrated that the pattern of intervention, pressure, deception, and threats remains a persistent strategy against the Iranian nation and its independent political establishment, the Islamic Republic.”

The National Student Day, the statement said, is a reminder of the criminal nature of the United States, showing that faithful and revolutionary Iranian people will never surrender to domination and deception by the global arrogance.

The IRGC also called on Iranian people from all walks of life to participate in the nationwide rallies on Tuesday to commemorate the embassy takeover, which has turned into a symbol of resistance and fight against arrogant powers.
