News - World: The United States is trying to convince the public global community that Israel’s aggression against Palestinian had nothing to do with Washington, an analyst says.

Patrick Lawrence elaborated on the US “new narrative” in an interview with Press TV on Tuesday.

“There's a new turn in things in the United States,” he said. “The new propaganda is that Israel is not really all that dependent on America anymore.”

The political commentator further indicated that Washington was trying to distance itself from the latest aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, which left many, including women and children dead.

“This is the new narrative. It's not at all true; not remotely true,” the analyst said. “Since the apartheid regime began this latest violence against Palestine, Washington needs a story, such that Israel was put across as acting more independently of the United States than it used to.”
