IRGC: Yemen's Naval Operations Support Muslims and Ensure Regional Security

News – Middle East: Commander of IRGC Navy, Ali Reza Tangsiri, emphasized that Yemeni naval operations in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, preventing the passage of ships belonging to the Zionist entity or destined for it, are in support of Muslims.

He explained that Yemen is an independent country with a strong army and a robust leader who acts independently and does not take orders from any party.

In an interview on the "From Tehran" program on the Al-Alam news channel, Tangsiri stated that the world, especially the West and America, which have supported the unjust bloodshed by the Zionists, should change their perspectives on this issue.

He clarified that the navy in the Strait of Hormuz region is there to establish security, and any state engaging in piracy in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf region will be dealt with according to the law.

Tangsiri added that the Martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis naval vessel carries a message of peace and friendship to the Islamic countries in the Persian Gulf region.

Regarding the aggression against Gaza, he stated that an unjust war occurred, children were killed in Gaza, and the impact of Zionist aggression on the Muslims in Gaza was significant.

He highlighted that the heroic Yemeni fighters declared their support for the Palestinians, and all ships from any country can pass through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, except for Israel-bound ships, until the firing stops and the killing of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip ceases.

"This is a testament to the bravery shown by the Yemeni fighters, who have demonstrated that they cannot stand idly by while witnessing the killing of Muslim families in Gaza," he added.

Tangsiri continued, saying that if foreign powers want to be present in this region that everyone passes through, the Martyr Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis naval vessel will be a message of peace and friendship to them. However, if malicious entities want to create a problem, the message of this vessel will be "readiness and preparedness" to confront the enemies.

He affirmed that the security of the Strait of Hormuz is guaranteed by the countries in the region, adding that security and stability are fully established in the Strait of Hormuz region, and foreigners have no role in ensuring security in this sensitive area. Therefore, the presence of these forces is meaningless.

He pointed out that Iran has the longest coastline in the Persian Gulf, stretching 1,375 kilometers, and said that incoming and outgoing ships pass along the coasts of Iran. They have always preserved and will continue to preserve the security of these waterways.

Tangsiri stated that they believe this region belongs to the Islamic countries in the region, and they are the ones who should safeguard its security. They are ready to conduct joint exercises because they are Muslims, and this is what Allah commanded when He said in the Quran, "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided."

"We can hold firmly to the rope of Allah and achieve the security of the region. Foreign powers, to justify their presence in the region and sell their weapons, always try to create imaginary enemies to be able to stay in the region," he added.
.
He also emphasized that "this sensitive region, through which the second-largest reserve of gas and 65% of the world's energy passes, with more than 85 ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz safely every day, is our living space. Therefore, we believe it is necessary to keep this region open for the movement of all countries that aspire to peace and trade."

Since the commencement of the Israeli regime's relentless military campaign against Gaza in early October, the Yemenis have openly declared their support for Palestine's struggle against the Israeli occupation.

The Armed Forces have conducted recent attacks on ships with ties to Israel near Yemeni ports, including the interception and seizure of a vessel associated with the Tel Aviv regime on November 19.
