Why Doesn't the Saudi Regime Release Hamas Detainees?

Why Doesn't the Saudi Regime Release Hamas Detainees?

Middle East: Saudi Arabia continues to detain members of Hamas and refuses to release them. This aligns with the Western and American classification of resistance movements as "terrorism" while ignoring the crimes of the Zionist entity and even promoting its image.

Perspectives on the Issue

Ahmad Baraka, Islamic Jihad Movement Representative in Sana’a:
Baraka criticizes the classification of resistance movements as terrorism by both the West and some Arab regimes, which he said are unjustly aligned with Arab and Islamic values. He highlights that Gaza's resistance, particularly through battles like "Al-Aqsa Flood," disrupts Zionist plans to dominate the region under so-called peace agreements. This resistance draws support from Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq, posing significant obstacles to Zionist expansion.

He asserts that Saudi Arabia’s actions are dictated by American and Zionist interests. Baraka notes that the recent Saudi measures against Yemen, coinciding with the Battle of Al-Aqsa Storm, show Saudi Arabia's alignment with Western and Zionist agendas. He condemns Saudi Arabia’s refusal to exchange prisoners with Hamas, emphasizing the regime's prioritization of Western and Zionist interests over its citizens' freedom.

Yahya Muhammad Al-Sharafi, Journalist and Political Analyst:
Al-Sharafi explains that the classification of resistance movements as "terrorism" by Western and some Arab regimes is due to their strong ties with the Israeli entity, whether economic, military, or diplomatic. He argues that the US aims to establish Israel as the regional leader and views recognition of resistance movements as a threat to these relationships.

He further elaborates that the Western and Arab media play a significant role in shaping public opinion against resistance movements, depicting them as terrorist organizations to justify governmental policies against them.

Al-Sharafi also points out that many countries, particularly Arab regimes, classify resistance movements as terrorist under US and Israeli pressure, using this classification to suppress internal opposition and maintain dictatorial control.

The classification of resistance movements as terrorist serves the political and strategic interests of Israel, the US, and their Western allies. The refusal of the Saudi regime to release Hamas detainees in exchange for Saudi pilots held in Sana’a is seen as a move to maintain its alignment with American and Zionist directives.
