Since his martyrdom, his images have filled the streets and squares of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and other provinces. They have been raised in homes, displayed on cars, and hung in public spaces. His presence has become even stronger—through his pure blood, his immense sacrifice, and his powerful speeches that shook the pillars of the Zionist entity, especially his famous description of it as "weaker than a spider’s web."
As Yemenis bid farewell to the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, they recall his strong stance at the beginning of the US-Saudi aggression on Yemen, which endeared him to their hearts as the first Arab leader to declare his solidarity with the Yemeni people and their revolutionary leadership without hesitation. This mutual relationship dates back to 2006 when the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon achieved victory, and the Yemeni people wholeheartedly celebrated and supported them.
In this context, Yemeni intellectuals and politicians affirm that the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine represents a great loss for the Islamic nation, echoing the words of the martyred leader Sayyed Hussein Al-Houthi: "One of the greatest calamities of the nation is losing its great leaders."
Dr. Yasser Al-Houri, Secretary of the Supreme Political Council, states that the nation has lost two of the most prominent leaders of jihad and Islamic transformation in this era, particularly amid the ongoing confrontation with the Axis of Evil, represented by the Zionist entity, the U.S. administration, and their Western and regional allies.
Al-Houri explained in an exclusive statement to Almasirah that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah successfully led Hezbollah for over three decades with steadfastness and resilience, becoming the most visible and followed figure among the free people of the Muslim world—an embodiment of sacrifice, courage, heroism, and victory. He also highlighted Sayyed Hashem Safieddine’s contributions, stating: "His scholarly, political, and jihadist journey was no less significant than that of Sayyed Nasrallah. He was always the shadow of the leader, though he did not seek to be in the spotlight as Sayyed Nasrallah was."
Al-Houri emphasized that the enemy understood the significance of both leaders more than some within the Muslim nation who fell victim to the enemy's deception and propaganda against Sayyed Hassan and Hezbollah. "This is why the enemy was determined to eliminate them," he stated.
However, in return, their martyrdom serves as a lesson for all that those who follow the path of struggle and resistance never lose their way. Their fate aligns with that of the great martyrs before them, particularly Sayyed Al-Shuhada Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
Al-Houri pointed out that their martyrdom is irrefutable proof that the path of jihad and the road to victory are unified for all the believers of Islam. He rejected sectarianism and the division of the Muslim Ummah into Sunni and Shia factions, asserting that the Al-Aqsa Flood battle obliterated such divisions as the blood of believers and free Muslims mingled in defense of the Ummah’s honor and dignity.
He further emphasized that October 7th marked the Zionist entity’s downfall and humiliation, proving to the entire world that it is indeed weaker than a spider’s web—especially in the face of Muhammad Deif, Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and the miracle of Yemen’s steadfast support under the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi.
Continuing his statement, Al-Houri noted that alongside these leaders, the heroes of the Iraqi resistance and the Iranian leadership have identified the true enemy and walked the correct path to break its will, defeat it, and write the first pages of the Zionist entity’s demise. He stressed that for 15 months, they stood unwavering in their support for Gaza and refused to allow the enemy to crush Hamas and the resistance.
He further asserted that Sayyed Nasrallah, his comrade Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, and all the martyred leaders of Hezbollah are deeply mourned by Yemen and its leadership, declaring: "Sayyed Hassan was a martyr of Islam and the Muslims. Before anyone else, before all resistance fighters, he stood like an unshakable mountain." He recalled Nasrallah’s fearless declaration of solidarity with Yemen against the Saudi-led coalition from the very first days of aggression in 2015 and his continued support for Yemen’s resilience and steadfastness for over eight years.
Al-Houri also pointed to Nasrallah’s courageous and unwavering support for the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, stating: "He and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine were martyred while deeply engaged in confronting the Zionist enemy and supporting the sacred battle for Palestine, Gaza, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and all Palestinian resistance factions."
Concluding his remarks, Al-Houri affirmed: "Our solace lies in the fact that Hezbollah remained steadfast until the end of the battle and emerged victorious, even by the enemy’s own standards, as it failed to achieve any of its objectives. Our solace also lies in the triumph and unity of the Axis of Resistance, which has endured one of the most intense confrontations with the enemies of God. These great leaders have built armies that will continue their path, and their martyrdom in the cause of Jerusalem will inspire the rise of legions that will not stop until the Zionist entity is eradicated."
Similarly, Ali Al-Dailami, a member of Ansarullah’s political bureau, stated: "The loss to the Ummah is immense, as Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine played a crucial role in reviving the Palestinian cause, something that all Palestinian factions have acknowledged."
Al-Dailami emphasized that they sought the unity and rise of the Muslim Ummah, prioritizing the Palestinian cause as their foremost mission. They also fought against sectarianism, exposing it as a Western tool of division that serves only colonialism. He highlighted that their martyrdom was deeply tied to the Palestinian struggle, stating: "They not only supported Palestine but sacrificed their lives for it. This sacrifice must be studied and analyzed deeply in the Arab world."
Military expert Brigadier General Mujib Shamsan also stressed the profound impact of their martyrdom on the Arab and Islamic nations, noting Sayyed Nasrallah’s deep influence on the collective awareness of the Ummah. He declared: "Their blood will turn into a flood that accelerates the Zionist entity’s downfall."
Shamsan pointed out that while the Zionist enemy may see their assassination as a tactical achievement, it has failed to weaken the resistance, as evidenced by Hezbollah’s resilience in recent battles. He asserted: "Despite the grief and loss, the resistance remains firm, gaining more determination and strength."
Political analyst Sand Al-Sayyadi echoed this sentiment, stating that Sayyed Nasrallah was not merely the leader of a Lebanese resistance group but a global icon of justice and a source of inspiration for the world’s free people. He emphasized the deep connection between Yemen and Nasrallah, rooted in solidarity from as early as Hezbollah’s 2006 victory, further solidified by his unwavering support for Yemen during the war.
Al-Sayyadi concluded: "The resistance will not be broken. History has proven that it rises from the ashes of treachery and oppression. Just as Imam Hussein remains a guiding light for the free, the martyrs of Hezbollah will continue to illuminate the path of resistance until the final victory and the liberation of Palestine."
