News - Middle East: Yemen's First Deputy Prime Minister Allama Mohammed Muftah stated that the martyred leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, left behind a profound legacy of righteous upbringing, steadfast jihad, and intellectual, political, and moral leadership.

Speaking on Sunday, he emphasized that the nation—and humanity as a whole—has lost a unique and exceptional figure whom Allah had prepared to lead people out of dependency and subjugation.

Muftah affirmed that under Sayyed Nasrallah’s leadership, the Lebanese resistance rose to prominence, secured victories, liberated occupied lands, and freed prisoners, giving the nation renewed hope for triumph.

"I believe the liberation of Palestine is near, and the sacrifices of martyrs and innocents in Palestine and Lebanon will not be in vain," he added.

He further stated that the mujahideen in Lebanon have rightly identified the Zionist entity as the true enemy of the nation. He also criticized the Saudi regime for spending vast sums on sowing division and fueling sectarian and propaganda wars in the region.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike on southern Beirut on September 27, 2024. Israeli jets dropped 85 tons of explosives, leveling six residential buildings in Dahiyeh after a week-long bombing campaign across Lebanon.

Fearing further attacks, Hezbollah postponed funeral ceremonies for its leaders. Now, over five months later, thousands have gathered in Beirut to honor Sayyed Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine in a historic funeral procession.
