Feb. 24: At Least 10 Casualties in US-Saudi Aggression Crimes Against Yemen

Yemen: On February 24, during the years 2016, 2018, and 2019, the US-Saudi aggression continued its relentless war crimes in Yemen, bombing homes, roads, residential areas, and civilian properties in the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Sana'a, and Hodeidah.

These attacks resulted in 6 deaths, including 4 women, and 4 injuries, including a child and a woman. Dozens of families were displaced, left without shelter, and forced to endure unimaginable suffering.

The bombings left behind scenes of charred and mutilated bodies, widespread destruction, and a severe shortage of food and humanitarian aid. Despite repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement in Hodeidah, the international community remained silent for the ninth consecutive year.

February 24, 2016: Airstrikes Target Ghafra Area in Saadah
On February 24, 2016, the US-Saudi aggression carried out a new war crime, bombing the Ghafra area in Saadah. The airstrikes destroyed farms and civilian properties, terrorized women and children, and caused mass displacement.

A local resident lamented, "Why are these planes hovering over us? They’ve targeted our homes, villages, and farms. My daughter is terrified. We’re now hiding in the mountains. Have our villages become military camps for them to bomb?"

February 24, 2018: Woman Injured in Airstrike on Saadah Road
In another war crime on February 24, 2018, the aggression targeted a main road in Saadah, injuring a woman returning from her farm to her children. The attack highlighted the coalition’s disregard for civilian lives and its failure to restore what it calls "legitimacy" through destruction. A relative of the victim stated, "The coalition’s airstrikes have blocked roads, hindering the delivery of food aid and essential supplies. This is an organized war crime."

February 24, 2019: Airstrike on Home in Hajjah Kills Two, Injures One
On the same day in 2019, the aggression bombed the home of citizen Mohammed Al-Azzi in Hajjah, killing two and injuring one. The attack destroyed the house and surrounding properties, displacing dozens of families.

Witnesses described the scene as a "living hell," with children crying for their parents and families torn apart. A survivor, a 3-year-old boy who lost his legs, whispered to his mother, "I know I can’t live as a disabled person. Bury me next to my father."

February 24, 2019: Airstrike in Sana'a Kills Three Women and an Elderly Man
In another brutal attack on February 24, 2019, the coalition bombed the home of citizen Saleh Al-Touqi in Sana'a, killing three women and an elderly man and injuring another. The airstrike destroyed the house and neighboring properties, displacing dozens of families.

A medic at the scene cried out, "These are the bodies of women. Where is the world? Where is humanity? Our people are being slaughtered, and no one is moving a finger."

February 24, 2019: Escalating Ceasefire Violations in Hodeidah
On the same day, Saudi-backed mercenaries escalated their violations of the Hodeidah ceasefire, bombing civilian homes and properties in the Al-Tuhita and Al-Hodeidah city areas. The attacks injured one civilian, caused widespread destruction, and displaced dozens of families.

Humanitarian Crisis Deepens
These attacks have exacerbated Yemen’s humanitarian crisis, with civilians facing severe shortages of food, medicine, and clean water. The international community’s silence has allowed the coalition to continue its aggression unchecked. Yemenis call for immediate action to stop the violence, hold war criminals accountable, and lift the blockade that has suffocated the country for years.

The world must not turn a blind eye to the suffering of Yemeni civilians. These war crimes must end, and those responsible must be brought to justice.
