News - Yemen: The war media distributed a filmed scene documenting the operation of shooting down an American "MQ9" aircraft in the skies of Hodeidah governorate.

The scene shows the moment the aircraft was targeted by a locally-made surface-to-air missile and caught fire in the skies of Hodeidah after a direct hit.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that their air defenses successfully shot down a hostile American MQ-9 aircraft in Hodeidah Governorate.

The Armed Forces confirmed that this aircraft is the 15th to be shot down during the battle of "The Promised Victory, the Sacred Jihad."

Since November 2023, the Yemeni Armed Forces have claimed responsibility for downing fourteen American MQ-9 Reaper drones in a series of operations. 

This intensification of operations and the increased success rate in targeting American drones is unprecedented, demonstrating Sana’a’s improved precision skills and expanded offensive capabilities.
