He pointed out that the claims made by the American president about a threat to international navigation in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait are untrue and misleading to international public opinion. He confirmed that the maritime ban announced by Yemen in support of Gaza is limited solely to Israeli navigation until humanitarian aid is allowed into Gaza.
Abdulsalam noted that the Yemeni ban on Israeli navigation came after a four-day deadline given to mediators. He stressed that international navigation in the Red Sea will remain secure from Yemen's side.
The spokesperson for Ansarullah, Mohammed Abdulsalam, described the American airstrikes as a return to the militarization of the Red Sea, which he considered the real threat to international navigation in the region.
Earlier on Saturday, Trump had announced on X that he had ordered the United States military to launch “decisive and powerful military action” against, what he described as, Yemen’s Ansarullah, although the Saturday American attacks just targeted Yemeni civilians.
"We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective,” he had added.
The American enemy launched an aggression with nearly 30 airstrikes on the capital, Sana'a, Saadah, Dhamar, Hajjah, and Al-Bayda.
In an initial toll, 10 children and a woman were martyred, and more than 10 others, including women and children, were injured in the aggression on two houses in the Qahza area of Saada province.
In Sana'a, at least 9 martyrs and 9 other civilians, most of them children and women, were injured in an initial toll.
