In an official statement, the ministry said that from March 16 to April 14, the number of martyrs and wounded as a result of the US aggression has reached 370, including 123 martyrs, among them women and children.
The statement strongly condemned the blatant US aggression on the country, particularly its direct targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure, including the recent airstrike on Al-Sawari Ceramics Factory in the Matnah area, Bani Matar District, Sana’a Governorate. That attack resulted in the killing of six civilians and injury of 30 others, including five children and a woman from among the factory workers and neighboring homes and farms.
The ministry stressed that this crime adds to the criminal record of the American-Zionist enemy, describing it as a full-fledged war crime and a clear violation of all international laws and conventions. The statement held the US administration fully responsible for its ongoing crimes against civilians, and for its repeated bombings and systematic destruction of infrastructure and civilian facilities.
The Ministry of Health called on Arab and Islamic nations, as well as human rights and humanitarian organizations, to take to the streets and public squares to express their outrage and condemn the crimes of US aggression against the Yemeni people.
Since mid-March 2025, Yemen has been subjected to an escalating campaign of US aggression, primarily targeting civilian sites. This comes in the context of Yemen’s declared stance of solidarity with the Palestinian people amid the ongoing war in Gaza, where Israeli military operations have led to widespread civilian casualties and destruction.
Sana'a has consistently stated that its support for Gaza is a matter of principle, rooted in religious, humanitarian, and national solidarity. In response, the United States has launched dozens of airstrikes across Yemen, claiming to target missile launch sites and drone facilities allegedly used against Israeli and allied interests in the Red Sea region.
However, these US strikes have increasingly impacted civilian areas and infrastructure, sparking public outrage in Yemen. The most recent incident, the bombing of the Al-Sawari Ceramics Factory in Sana'a province, is one in a series of attacks that have drawn accusations of war crimes and violations of international law from Yemeni authorities. The factory strike alone left dozens of civilians dead or injured, including women and children.
Sana’a has reaffirmed that it will continue its operations in support of Gaza, stressing that US attacks will not deter the Yemeni people from their steadfast position in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
