News – Yemen: US warplanes renewed their assaults on Hodeidah on Saturday, launching a series of airstrikes on the city.

According to Al-Masirah’s correspondent in Hodeidah, American aircraft carried out 13 airstrikes targeting both the Hodeidah Port and its airport.

On Thursday evening, US forces committed a horrific massacre in Hodeidah by targeting Ras Issa Port, resulting in the death and injury of approximately 250 individuals—including port workers, medical personnel, and civilians who rushed to assist the victims.

The massacre has drawn widespread condemnation from Arab nations, international organizations, and human rights groups, further exposing the brutal nature of US actions in the region.

This American escalation only deepens the suffering of Yemeni civilians, reflecting a desperate attempt to pressure Yemen into halting its support for Gaza following Washington’s failure to secure a military victory.

This attack is part of a broader American military campaign that began on March 15, 2025, following Yemen’s decision to resume retaliatory strikes on Israel in response to the intensification of Israeli operations in Gaza. Since then, US airstrikes have consistently targeted civilian infrastructure across Yemen, including power stations, communication facilities, and water systems.

Washington claims the strikes are meant to safeguard freedom of navigation near Yemen’s waters. However, Yemeni authorities refute this, asserting their operations exclusively target vessels linked to Israel and are not directed at international shipping.
