US Airstrikes on Sana’a Kill and Injure Civilians Amid Escalating Aggression

News – Yemen: The US aggression has launched a series of airstrikes on the capital, Sana’a, and its outskirts on Saturday evening, resulting in multiple martyrs and injuries.

Local sources told Al-Masirah Net that US warplanes targeted the Al-Nahda neighborhood in Al-Thawra District, killing two people and injuring two others.

At the same time, the US also struck Majel al-Damma Cemetery in Al-Safia District, resulting in one injury—further highlighting the failure of American intelligence and military strategy.

Sources confirmed that another citizen was martyred and one more injured in a strike on Bani Matar District, northwest of the capital.

The aggression continued with four airstrikes on the Al-Hafa area, one strike on Al-Nujaymat Cemetery in Al-Sabain District, and five airstrikes on 21st of September Park in Al-Thawra District.

According to the same sources, additional US airstrikes targeted Bani Hashish District with three strikes, Al-Hosn with two, and Hamdan and Al-Hayma Al-Kharijiah with one strike each. Initial reports did not confirm casualties in those areas at the time of reporting.

As the US escalation continues amid growing military and intelligence failures, another airstrike was carried out on Sirwah District in Marib Governorate.

Sources expect the death toll to rise as strikes persist and more information becomes available from affected areas. Al-Masirah Net will continue to provide updates in upcoming reports.

This American escalation further intensifies the humanitarian tragedy facing Yemeni civilians, reflecting Washington’s desperation after failing to achieve military objectives, and an attempt to pressure Yemen into halting its support for Gaza.

This attack is part of a broader American military campaign that began on March 15, 2025, following Yemen’s decision to resume retaliatory strikes on Israel in response to the intensification of Israeli operations in Gaza. Since then, US airstrikes have consistently targeted civilian infrastructure across Yemen, including power stations, communication facilities, and water systems.

Washington claims the strikes are meant to safeguard freedom of navigation near Yemen’s waters. However, Yemeni authorities refute this, asserting their operations exclusively target vessels linked to Israel and are not directed at international shipping. The continued escalation by the US has significantly worsened the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, drawing condemnation from various regional and resistance movements.
