Yemeni Military Official Condemns US Aggression on Ports, Vows Retaliation

News - Yemen: Major General Ali Hamoud Al-Mushki, Deputy Chief of the General Staff and head of Yemen’s National Redeployment Committee, stated on Sunday that the U.S. assault on Yemeni ports adds another dark page to America’s bloody history.

During a meeting with the acting head of the UN Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA), Al-Mushki expressed dismay at the UN mission’s statement, which equated the aggressor with the victim, urging the UN to fulfill its duties with neutrality.

He demanded that the UN issue a clear condemnation of U.S. crimes to validate the credibility of its past reports, warning America that its escalation in Yemen will only lead to greater losses.

"Yemen will never abandon its right to retaliate or forget the blood of its martyrs," he declared, emphasizing that America’s losses in its aggression against Yemen will be catastrophic.

Al-Mushki noted that the U.S. offensive is not limited to Hodeidah and civilian sites but extends to hijacking all ships bound for the port—a blatant act of piracy.

He stressed that all U.S. attacks on Yemen are doomed to fail, citing the reckless bombing of cemeteries in Sanaa as proof of Washington’s desperation.

The Yemeni general also warned that escalation attempts by US aggression mercenaries on the coast are part of a failed effort to defend the Zionist entity and halt Yemen’s support for Gaza.

"Any reckless or childish moves by these mercenaries will backfire severely," he cautioned.

On Thursday evening, US forces committed a horrific massacre in Hodeidah by targeting Ras Issa Port, resulting in the death and injury of approximately 250 individuals—including port workers, medical personnel, and civilians who rushed to assist the victims.

The massacre has drawn widespread condemnation from Arab nations, international organizations, and human rights groups, further exposing the brutal nature of US actions in the region.

This American escalation only deepens the suffering of Yemeni civilians, reflecting a desperate attempt to pressure Yemen into halting its support for Gaza following Washington’s failure to secure a military victory.

This attack is part of a broader American military campaign that began on March 15, 2025, following Yemen’s decision to resume retaliatory strikes on Israel in response to the intensification of Israeli operations in Gaza. Since then, US airstrikes have consistently targeted civilian infrastructure across Yemen, including power stations, communication facilities, and water systems.

Washington claims the strikes are meant to safeguard freedom of navigation near Yemen’s waters. However, Yemeni authorities refute this, asserting their operations exclusively target vessels linked to Israel and are not directed at international shipping. The continued escalation by the US has significantly worsened the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, drawing condemnation from various regional and resistance movements.
