'Their Blood Will Not Be in Vain': Tihama Mourns Ras Issa Massacre, Vows Resistance

News- Yemen: Tihama has held funerals for the victims of the Ras Issa massacre, which was carried out by US aggression several days ago. The attack claimed the lives of 80 civilians and injured 150 others, most of whom were employees and workers at Al-Salif Port.

The funeral procession began in front of Al-Ridha Mosque in the city of Hodeidah on Saturday, with large public turnout and the participation of local officials, led by Hodeidah Governor Abdullah Atifi.

Mourners condemned the attack, stating that "the American aggression targeting a civilian service facility as vital as Ras Issa Port constitutes a full-fledged war crime and a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian conventions." They held the US administration fully responsible for the massacre.

They emphasized that "the blood of the martyrs will not be in vain, but will yield victory over the forces of arrogance," stressing the Yemeni people's resolve to resist, stand firm, and fight until total victory is achieved.

The mourners also renewed their unwavering support and authorization for the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to take all necessary decisions in response to the crime—including the expansion of military operations against the aggressors and the targeting of American and Israeli interests in the Red Sea and beyond. They called on all Yemenis to "mobilize across all fronts—military, media, and political—and to reject all forms of foreign tutelage or subordination."

Prior to the funeral, an angry protest took place on Port Street, with Governor Atifi in attendance. Participants declared a state of general mobilization and full readiness to engage in the battle of the Promised Conquest and Sacred Jihad, affirming their unity behind the revolutionary and political leadership.

Protesters chanted slogans denouncing the American aggression, asserting that this crime amounts to a declaration of war on the Yemeni people and reveals the true criminal nature of the American project against free nations.

The people of Tihama strongly condemned the heinous attack on a civilian facility, vowing that every drop of blood shed at Ras Issa Port will be met with more precise retaliatory strikes against American forces and deep into the Zionist entity. They affirmed that the Yemeni people will not retreat from the battle, regardless of the cost.

They added that the massacre reveals the enemy’s political and moral bankruptcy and represents a grave escalation targeting civilian infrastructure and essential services. They warned that continued international silence amounts to direct complicity in the crime.

Participants called on all free people—both within Yemen and abroad—to unite in this just struggle against the forces of evil, arrogance, and American-Zionist hegemony, rallying behind wise leadership.

They stressed that this crime would only strengthen national unity and the resilience of the Yemeni people in the face of further escalations, while expanding the scope of legitimate retaliation against enemy targets on land, at sea, and in the air. The mourners also reaffirmed their unwavering support for the oppressed Palestinian people and their commitment to continuing the national struggle against the American-Zionist project.

In conclusion, they declared: "Hodeidah will remain the guardian of the Red Sea, and its people will stay at the forefront." They renewed their pledge to the revolutionary and political leadership to follow the path of the martyrs until final victory for Yemen and the region’s free peoples is achieved.

On Thursday evening, US forces carried out a deadly strike on Ras Issa Port in Hodeidah, killing and injuring around 250 people, including workers, medics, and civilians.

The attack sparked widespread condemnation and is part of a broader American campaign launched on March 15, 2025, in response to Yemen’s support for Gaza. Since then, US airstrikes have repeatedly targeted civilian infrastructure, worsening Yemen’s humanitarian crisis. While Washington cites maritime security, Yemeni authorities insist their operations only target Israeli-linked ships.
